I understand wanting fast easy food. I prefer to make my own smoothies though. Takes all of five minutes, max. Just throw the ingredients in the Ninja (I buy frozen fruits for this), hit the auto button, and finish getting ready while it gets tasty.

It's tough, but you can do it. What are your goals set at? You don't need to exercise to lose, just eat fewer calories than you expend. So, with that in mind, maybe just set a shallow loss goal. Say a 250-500 calorie deficit. Just make sure to weigh your food on a scale and it gets easier. I'm 6'3" (or 4, not sure), and…

Just glancing at your diary, assuming everything is fairly accurate, you might want to make sure to hit your goals more often. You can experience these symptoms when under eating. As mentioned above, also make sure you are hydrated. I get a headache pretty quickly if I am dehydrated.

Eating intuitively didn't make me fat. I got fat because I didn't care about what I was eating, or how much. Bored snacking, and pigging out on pizza and Chinese. When I actually pay attention, and just eat when hungry, and even then, just until I feel satisfied, not full, then I lose weight. It's easier while counting…

I was thinking about joining Untappd. Problem is, I have to have my allergies well under control, or beer just makes them go crazy. So I don't drink it often. That said, our local brewery (New Republic) has an AMAZING barrel aged RIS (they use the whiskey barrels from the distillery next door). Unfortunately, you can only…

Could be the sulfites. I drink whiskey most nights. How much really depends. I'll have more if I am tasting with friends, or if I just crack open a new bottle I've never had before (just opened a Balcones Single Malt last night). I always pour an ounce at a time (to track calories). I drink it neat, with a splash of water.…

Except that, if you are overweight, you will be better losing weight. Being healthier makes you better. Unless you are equating it to a moralistic stance, which I wouldn't do without evidence to support that thought process. I'm losing weight to feel better, to look better, and to better my physical fitness. I am trying to…

My grandmother has Crohn's so I feel for ya. She switched to half-caff coffee. So yeah, cutting back can't hurt. Have you tried a different tea? You might be able to find one that has less caffeine. Or just brew it weaker (not something I would normally suggest, since I like my tea strong and bitter). I also sometimes…

Not everyone logs water. I can assure you that they still drink. Eating more calories will not cause a drop in weight.

Oh, goodness. I just watch that episode last night. Killing me.

Then that is all in the preparation. What texture is it that you object to? I know I hate mushy, mealy peas. So I just use fresh peas instead of frozen or canned.

I'll just assume you mean low cal. Roasted Brussel's sprouts. I like mine with cajun, or mesquite seasoning. Roasted broccoli. Carrots (raw) Sugar snap peas (raw) Cucumber (raw) Pickles. I prefer kosher dill, but ymmv. Melon. Most melons are super tasty, and pretty low cal. An apple. Gala and Fuji are the best, but I won't…

Just wondering, but how much is a lot? I don't consume much in the way of caffeine most days (I make a new batch of French press coffee every other day, so only about 12-16 oz a day). On the weekends though, my sister and I sometimes go through a gallon or two of tea (per day). But I've also never had a caffeine high from…

Just try flavored water or gum. Personally, I doubt the efficacy of caffeine as an appetite suppressant. I like coffee, but it's the flavor that keeps me from craving food. I get the same benefit from chewing on gum, or drinking some vitamin water zero (I get the drops, as it's cheaper). Or, try filling low calorie snacks.…

How? It's no different. Unless someone asks for your advice beforehand, it's exactly the same.

When I workout in the morning, I have an apple or a banana before I go. Then I have a smoothie when I get back home. Been too tired to do that lately. I kinda hate sleeping, so I stay up late, and wake up early (but not early enough to go to the gym before work).

I don't walk up to people in a restaurant and tell them what to eat. Should I? It's just rude.

I like stevia in my smoothies. I don't really use it for anything else. My sister made a cake with stevia last weekend for our grandmother's birthday. It was tasty. It makes coffee taste stale. Like, how the hell can coffee taste stale? Weirdest thing ever. Would not recommend. I just use sugar in the raw if I sweeten my…

I sit at a desk all day, responding to support tickets, and encoding videos. I used to get up and walk around campus every day. Walk to get lunch, or just go outside to warm up (my office was in the 60's during the summer, way too cold). But I got moved from the library (basically in the middle of the campus), to an…

I'll just be honest... the bacon and sausage diet sounds pretty damn awesome. I'm half way there today. Sausage for breakfast, and lunch... and for supper, I was thinking about doing bacon wrapped pork loin, or sweet potatoes and bacon, with a side of chicken wings. Does it count if I add bread, snap peas, and other…

Me too. People tend to think I'm angry if I'm not smiling. I'm fine with that. As for smiling in pictures. It's just awkward. I either do silly smile, or none. I also just don't like photos! I'll do smiles for other people, but that's just so I don't have to take more pictures (and hear complaining).

It's satire, and it's a pretty good go at it. Problem with satire, is that a ton of people don't get it. Satire is easy to take seriously.
-
Yeah, some people just find it more manageable that way. I personally can't approach it that way, but I understand the thought process.

Yep. I've been wearing a jacket off an on with this coldfront*. I find I lose fat in my extremities first, so it makes my hands sensitive to chill. The plus side to that is that they look bony and gnarled. That is plus side, right? *Look, 60° is chilly in Texas. Not outright cold, but cool enough for my nice comfy sweater…

Have you tried roasting veggies? Roasted Brussels sprouts with cajun seasoning are AMAZING. Also really low calorie, but that is less important than tasting great. As mentioned, stirfry is good. As are soups and stews. As far as sneaking foods in, as a (very) picky eater myself, that would piss me off. Be straight forward.…

Someone needs a pizza. I recommend a margherita pizza. Because basil and tomatoes. And the same for the op. Although, kabobs might be the best choice. Depends on what you mean (I think of naan, meat, and veggies). That does sound mighty tasty.

We've had a lot of celebrations even leading up to the holidays (Grandmother's 82nd this past week). I log, but I'm not obsessive about it. Dieting through holidays in the past, I pretty much just ate whatever. A couple of days of indulgence aren't going to wreck your entite diet for the rest of the year. I wouldn't…

I did add the caveat (I really don't believe that was the intent). In either case disliking slang is different from just assuming it is meant to be offensive. I hate when my brother in law says something is "beast." But he's 10 years younger. I assume he just grew up in a different generation, rather than assuming he's an…

Personally, I like to add eggs to my breakfast smoothies. Good source of all kinds of things, including protein. If I am lacking protein specifically, I just nuke some grilled chicken (frozen pre-cooked). Low calorie, filling, tasty, and protein rich (obviously). Everyone always says nuts, but I find they just make me want…

To be fair, I laugh at my mom in these situations, but then just warn her off. The internet is like an *kitten*. In that I feel it's best left unexplored. That might mean I'm getting old too. ;)
