In your food diary settings on MFP there's a check box for enabling negative calorie adjustments. Uncheck that box and you should be good to go. Otherwise, just ignore it? I know that's kind of a lame solution, but UA seems to be jacking a lot of things up around here.

i'd love to take one of those spots!

if you want to get real nitty gritty, measure the oil before you put it in the pan/fryer and then measure the excess when you're done frying. in theory, A - B = the amount your fish absorbed. other then that, estimate a couple tablespoons and try not to stress about it? i don't tend to fry things for this exact reason,…

A protein shake is literally just food in powder form. Nothing about it will make you gain or lose weight by itself. If a drink is easier for you in the morning, by all means make a shake! Just pay attention to the nutrients and make sure it fits into your calories for the day. Stay close to your calorie goal and you will…

if you have the app downloaded, you can set it to remind you to log your food or complete your day. i know a lot of people will pre-log their food for the next day the night before, or log everything in the morning that they plan to eat during the day. you can always edit later if something changes. i personally try to…

you make meals ahead of time and put them in the fridge or freezer? it all depends on what you want/plan to eat for the day/week.

This is such wonderful advice, and the way it's written is exactly what I needed to hear right now. In terms of counting macros, it's honestly really easy! MFP kind of does it for you, when you look at each meal it tells you how many calories, carbs, fat, protein, fiber, sodium, etc. are in each food, depending on which…

I have a Lift on my holiday wishlist! To the best of my knowledge, syncing a tracker with mfp goes whole hog. There's no way to track your steps without risking either a positive or negative calorie adjustment because the steps are viewed as activity. If you purchase mfp premium, you can choose not to have your macros and…

Just go and eat and enjoy yourself.

i'm in! what's the deadline to post our starting weight?

Just tossing my name in the ring on the off chance you have spots open up! If this is an ongoing challenge, I'd love to join the next one also!

I'm making blue cheese chicken tonight! Throw your chicken in a baking dish. Prick with a fork several times, season with salt and pepper. Slather dressing of choice on chicken, let marinate for 10-15 minutes - I just preheat my oven and let it sit till the oven is ready. Bake at 350 for 14-16 minutes and nom. I use…

When you sign up for the site, the calorie goal you're given already includes a reduction that will give you weight loss. If you exercise, you can eat a portion of the calories you burn if you're hungry, or want to eat more. Most people agree not to eat the entire number of calories you burn, because it's almost impossible…

Hello! I'm interested in joining a team for this challenge if it is still open!

If you don't want the extra calories, don't sync the device.

The closest TJs to me is over 3 hours away :( I actually cried when I left California because of that.

I came out to Arkansas from California. I'm used to prices in the range of green peppers, cucumbers, zucchini $0.49/ea, green beans, baby carrots $0.99/lb (regular carrots less), lettuce regularly under $1/lb, onions $0.69/lb or less, avocados under $1ea, tomatoes around $1/lb, apples, peaches, pears $0.89-$1/lb, berries…

I would absolutely do this if I could access/afford fresh. Green beans are regularly $2+/lb, asparagus (not that you'd can it) is $4/lb, even fricken cucumbers are upwards of $1 EACH. Farmer's markets prices are worse, sadly :/ That's why I'm trying to learn to love frozen, because they're sort of more affordable.
-
Ohh I love the onion idea. The boyfriend will definitely agree!
-
@MissyMilda I haven't been brave enough to roast them straight from frozen but your post has given me confidence! I will give it a go this week.

I will absolutely try this! Thank you so much  I've started a container herb garden for the express purpose of being able to season things, and good quality olive oil is a pantry staple for me. Thanks for the input, everyone! Also +1 for anything bacon related.

I guess I should add that when I stick frozen stuff in a casserole or crockpot meal it's just fine. @veephil31 I started out microwaving because I bought the steamfresh packages but they're fricken terrible. So I just steam them in a tablespoon of water in a pan on the stove till they thaw. I do salt and pepper etc, but I…

I don't think I've ever ordered something from Amazon so quickly in my entire life. You are a gentlewoman and a scholar, friend!

I do what I can!

Since you're mostly looking at bodyweight exercises, I'd look at a program like You Are Your Own Gym or Convict Conditioning. Should be able to find .PDFs of them online. They'll help you build up to your goals and you don't need a gym membership. For the cardio, just keep pushing at it.

She means they don't work. Eat in a calorie deficit and exercise. That will burn fat.

Look into the book New Rules of Lifting for Women. If you feel like that's too complicated or too beginner-level, download the Stronglifts 5x5 app and go to Stronglifts.com to learn the lifts. Once you progress to the point that you can bust out a 5k and not feel like it's a challenge, there are a number of bridge to 10k…
