For your situation get a Flex2. That's all you need, it's the cheapest one, it's waterproof so it will hold up in a commercial kitchen. It will track your steps, your active minutes during the day, and your sleep. You can use it to set silent alarms (vibration) if you need reminders to take vitamins or something like that…

fasting and keto have nothing to do with each other?
-
be aware that you're going to regain a good amount of water weight very quickly when you start eating carbs again. keto doesn't really make sense to do for only 21 days.

you can't do that with the mfp interface.

They're not offering any new challenges right now.

First, sweat doesn't have any correlation to calorie burn. The reason you see such wild variation in calorie calculator results is because there's wildly different formulas people can use to determine calorie needs. 3000 calories probably is based on a formula that takes into account your exercise and 1600 is probably a…

I haven't used DietBet because I don't trust my weight loss enough to not lose the money and I'm on a ridiculously tight budget. Buuuut, I use their sister app StepBet and I love it. Never had an issue with payouts, their customer service is nearly instantenous and very friendly, and it's motivated me to up my daily step…

Altas retail for $129 so if it's actually new in box and authentic you're getting a really good deal. Fitbit and MFP sync just fine.

If you're over 200 pounds, the .8g/lb of bodyweight recommendation is going to be very high, yes. Doesn't matter if you're a vegan, that's how much protein you need for your current body weight. Probably going to be pretty hard to reach given your limited source pool, but that's a choice you need to make.

greek yogurt is such a great 'fake' that it freaks me out sometimes when i make savory dishes with it. i feel you!

sidesteel for the win! this is exactly what i was looking for - thank you so much for the starting point!

It's not so much the room as the budget. I picked up PF because it's $10/month and on a bus route I can ride for free. That's how tight the budget is. I'm actually cutting out my Netflix subscription to afford the gym. I used to belong to Fitness19 and they had everything I could want, but the closest location can't be…

the smith machine comment was sarcasm. thanks, all!

If you don't keep it in the house, you can't eat it. I don't keep anything in my house, other than raw veg, that doesn't require cooking. If I'm hungry enough to actually prepare a meal, I will eat. If I'm panicky and craving food to calm whatever feeling, I don't tend to have the interest in actually cooking. It really…

You've more than likely gone through a bit of body recomposition where your weight has redistributed itself and you have more muscle in the same size container (your body) than before. This can account for you becoming physically slimmer, and losing a size in your jeans, while still weighing more. If you have more muscle…

I absolutely love this week's challenges! 20 squats every morning after some calisthenics is such a nice way to start the day. I did my first round last night before bed, so the next 6 will be an AM routine. Easy peasy.

Riverside is a mid-sized city in the Inland Empire of southern California, basically halfway between San Diego and Los Angeles. We have one of the UC system universities, which is where I work. The city is famous for being the birthplace of the citrus industry, and it's where navel oranges were introduced to America. The…

Hi, Team 6! I'm Leslie and I'm late. I signed up for the Race last week before being sidelined with the flu. I'm still finishing my tamiflu, so I'm not cleared to go to the gym or do anything strenuous until I see my doctor on Thursday. I have been walking to and from work, though, so I'm going to count that as exercise…

What do you need help with, specifically?

I use a Jawbone UP2 and I love it. I really wish I could combine the FitBit app with the look and fit of the Jawbone, and then it would be perfect. I really hate the way FitBits look but from what I've seen of their app I like it better. For me the #1 priority is how well the thing works and if I like the way it looks…

portion sizes can be whatever you want them to be. i keep 125g and 150g hunks of chicken in my freezer and depending on what else i'm eating in a given day and how much protein i need, i'll take one size or the other out for lunch. https://www.amazon.com/Taylor-Precision-Products-6-6-Pound-Platform/dp/B001DQOEIE there's no…

I'm currently 217, down from 224.8, and my goal weight is 169 (gets me out of obese and into just regular overweight on the bmi). I was in the 140s in college, but I feel fine in the 160s and it's more practical to maintain now that I'm an old lady of almost 29. I'm 5'3, for reference!
