Hi everyone! 1st time mama here and would love some new MFP friends! I'm 5 weeks and so far no nausea but I do have super-human powers of smell so maybe the nausea comes later? The fatigue is what's getting to me- I just want to sleep constantly! For exercise I do some light body weight exercises every other day (squats,…

I bought the premium just to trial it and see if it was worth my dollars and I can tell you it's not. The few "perks" you get don't justify the cost (yes I can set my macros by the gram, and set up different reoccurring nutrition goals by date but for an average joe like myself those aren't worth the cost). Save your $$…

Yoga, walking to and/or from work, or having play-dates with the nieces and nephews- those kids really know how to burn! (but when watching the kidlets that means I have to avoid snacking; little kids always have food around them)

Thanks QueenOSpades! I didn't even think of hemp protein being an option (I've been fixated and to be honest, uncomfortable, about whey and/or casein protein, but I struggle to get enough protein in a day) I'll add that to my list of things to ask my doctor about :)

Excellent- thanks!! (I didn't even think of throwing sundried tomatoes in my deviled eggs, or that Costco has nitrate free bacon... Yippee!!!) I feel confident that I will be an expert egg peeler HestiaMoon- I too am obsessively in love with eggs in most forms (as in I eat between 12-16 eggs every week) Thanks again folks!…

Off to a rickety start (just started tracking so my average is low) but feeling good about March :) We got this!

The only supplements my husband and I take are daily multivitamin (pre-natal for me :) we are going to start trying soon so I switched to pre-natal in the event we conceive) and whey protein post work-out.

LOL!!! Now that's my kind of salad! (it's looking a bit light though; maybe some mayo is needed?)

i will be faced with 2 delicious meals- one with my family and the next day with the in-laws (both will have plenty of the same food- turkey, ham, perogies, sauerkraut, potatoes, gravy, stuffing, steamed veggies, rolls, LOTS of dessert and LOTS of liquor to be had) my plan is to load up on veggies, meat, treat myself to a…

Oh my I want all of these things for a Brie wheel!! Thanks for the ideas everyone!!

I'm having the same problem- they show up on my phone but clicking the link doesn't take me anywhere!

YEAH BOYEE!!!! Great job!!!
-
Ah gotcha!! Thanks!

Silly question from a newbie- what does "16:8" ratio mean? (I know IF is intermittent fasting but the ratio throws me off) Thanks!
-
Oh awesome! Thanks for the info
-
Oh great idea! I didn't even think of the low carb group! And thanks for keeping my secret

I've done fasting and love the results (but I only use it for breaking a plateau myself). Whatever you decided do with IF may I no so bold as to suggest you plan to fast during the week? I find fasting Tues- Thursday are my best days for fasting since I'm usually so busy with work and what not that I'm just happy to get…

Yes!! That's what I'm talking about!

I had this experience- first couple of monthlys and I was insane with PMS. My strategy was to up the fats, up the broth and nibble on 1 small piece of extra dark chocolate each day. Even though the dark chocolate isn't great, it wasn't the worst thing I had my sights set on (stealing candy from children seemed like a good…

I'm just getting back into Keto (yay our fridge is fixed!) and am A-OK with more friends! Feel free to add me

I like a small breakfast (an egg with cheese and a cup of black coffee), big lunch, snack before I leave work (so I don't become a snack-monster when I get home) and then a light supper (omelette, salad or a big bowl of salad... Usually one of these 3) I also drink hot water throughout the day (yep- living the life of an…

I'm surprised that a place with a specific food-rule like that doesn't make the servers tell customers, "is this your it's time here? This is a pork free restaurant." Turkey bacon is awful.

Add me :) Just starting out on keto and would love new peeps in my corner!
-
I'm in! I've gotten myself out of keto and into bigger pants. I'm cleaning out my pantry today, going shopping and starting fresh! I would love a place to check in where everyone sees me and says "NORM!" Do we need to start a side group?

Not a dumb idea! I did that for my wedding- I bought my dress too small and by the time I got to my 1st fitting (8 months later) I had to have 4 inches taken in everywhere; it's a doable goal if you stick to it :)
-
when I'm baking cheesecakes for special occasions I take out about 1/3 of the cream cheese and replace with the same amount of rinsed/drained/pureed cottage cheese and then add a little extra fruit on top to compensate for the saltiness cottage cheese brings :) (you MUST rinse and drain though- cottage cheese is packed…

My newest breakfast obsession (which is heavy on the protein) is homemade refried beans on top of scrambled eggs. YUM!
-
I use my crock-pot almost every week! I use it to make a big batch of a recipe, package it into servings and voila: every morning I have lunch waiting for me (just have to take it out of the freezer the night before). Last night I made 2 huge batches (lentil dalh and vegetarian curry) and now have lunches and/or quick…

That sucks- you go out of your way to find something good and then BAM! It's got garbage in it. I finally gave up the ghost a few months ago and now if there's any nut butter in the house it's because I make it at home. (I have a serious dislike for how much sugar is added to nut butters- it's also cheaper to make your…

Feel free to add me as well
