Thanks for the chuckle, sir! π

Someone in another thread long ago wrote - "Call them treat days, not cheat days." That's how I think of them. Just track everything as accurately as possible and enjoy those days. One day will not derail you.

Count 'em down, my friend. And after this Friday, a long (really long) weekend. HAHA! π

Haven't checked in here for awhile. Good to see that you all are keeping active here. Off to the gym today for the first time in months. Pray for me! π

Thanks for your post, Jo. A quick Google search and my Valentine's Day shopping was done.

Congratulations, Mindi! Hoping to join all of you retired folks in the next couple of years.

Just bumping this thread and trying to keep it active. I'm still walking the dog several times a week. Broke out the yoga mat and have done two stretching sessions this week. Headed back to the gym to start lifting again next week. What are you all up to?
-
Walking with the dog last night - was planning on three miles - came across an open gate which gave me access to a big area with no traffic - so I added another mile. Finished in the dark, but it was safe. Gotta' seize the opportunities when you can.

I had to put my dog in the crate for awhile when doing yoga or stretching at home. Lately she is behaving better and will lay on the floor next to the mat. Most of the time. π

A thousand "Thank you's", @CacoEther. π

I drink a lot of flavored water. I drink more that way. I use Mio to add to bottled water. I buy flavored low calorie waters like Vitamin Water Zero or VitaRain from Costco. We keep a pitcher of Crystal Light drink mix in the refrigerator at all times. My son and I both like that. There are a lot of other options, too. Iβ¦

Went to the park with my granddaughter yesterday. She rode her bike and I walked the dog. Was bitter cold, but we went anyway. The crisp air was good for the lungs and the company was good for the soul.

I'm a little (π) past 50. Attended yoga classes twice a week before they closed the gym. I need to start again myself. Yoga really improves my flexibility and balance.

Love that wraparound stripe pattern. Striking!

Hey, y'all. Haven't checked in here for awhile. Good to see that you are all staying active. Fractured my hand back in October, so took a gym break. Time to get back at it. Kept up the walking, so managed a minimal weight gain. I'm a member of an MFP group called "Lose 1 Pound a Week". Great support, different challengesβ¦

Fractured my hand back in October. Laid out of the gym for a couple of months. Twas' a convenient excuse. Kept up with hiking and walking the dog. I knew I would gain some weight without lifting, so I set a goal to stay under 200 pounds through year end. I'm back on a downward trend and I will see the New Year around 195.β¦

I belong to an MFP group called "Lose a Pound a Week". They are signing up new members right now. Very supportive group with lots of encouragement. Different challenges each week and a weekly weight log-in to keep you motivated. Join us if you like!β¦

Thanks, Mindi. I appreciate your kind words. You are a very supportive friend. Except that you won't come over to my house and make me roll out the yoga mat and stretch my old bones. π§ββοΈπ I need a kick in the *kitten*!𦡠HAHA! π

I have done intermittent fasting in the past. Worked well for me because I tended to eat and snack heavily in the evening. I used an 8 hour window - eating between 2 pm and 10 pm. Taught me the difference between eating as a habit and eating when I was actually hungry. Now I typically have a protein bar in the morning -β¦

Heard that. I moved all the leftover Christmas candy to the downstairs freezer this morning. Because I kept walking by and grabbing one (or three) without thinking.

Yes, it is. Dangerous and the comments are most entertaining. Thanks for brightening the day, ladies

Hey, y'all! Haven't checked in here in awhile. Will be more diligent in the new year. Fell while out fishing back in October. Fractured a bone in my right hand. That gave me an excuse to skip the gym for a while. I decided to just try to maintain weight while waiting for fracture to heal. Kept up on the walking and hikingβ¦
-
Good to see you, too, Mindi. πββοΈπ I didn't log too much food while I was healing. Set a goal to stay below 200 pounds and otherwise not be concerned with eating or workouts. Managed that and I think I will stay with that through the Christmas holidays. Then start a new weight loss effort in the new year.
-
Hello, all. Fractured my hand a few weeks ago. Did very little posting here for awhile. Almost healed now and getting back in action. Glad to see you all keeping this thread going.

How do you catch a unique rabbit? It's easy. Unique up on it. How do you catch a tame rabbit? Tame way. Unique up on it.

Take heart, bakin. Birthday calories don't count. HAHA! π

Kudos to you, @RunsWithBees. You have relayed a great insight - strive to be your best, while accepting who you are. And thanks to all the ladies sharing in this thread. It brightens my day!

Been working way too much and have not checked in here for a long while. Walking the dog a lot, but no other workouts. General laziness and poor time management. This thread is the inspiration I need to add some other activity to the mix. Now where is that yoga mat?

Been working way too much. My first day to peruse the community section in a while. Glad to see that y'all are alive and well. My dog, Daisy, got spayed on Friday, so I had a couple of days off from dog walking duty. But today she was full of energy, so we went back to the regular routine. It was cold and windy, but thatβ¦

Thanks, Barbie. Learned something new about poodles. Daisy got spayed on Friday, so I had a couple of days off from dog walking duty. But today she was full of energy, so we went back to the regular routine. It was cold and windy, but that will be the norm here until spring.
