Beautiful photo, @SBetaK. Thanks for sharing that. And good on 'ya for getting out despite the obstacles. Have not checked in here in months. Good to see so many of you still hanging in there. I saw the walking chart. I'm usually in the average category (around 19 minutes a mile) these days. I'll know I'm in better…

@jaded989 - Well done. Enjoy your beach time in Florida.

Greetings, all you seasoned citizens. Good to see some of the regulars and some new folks, as well. Holding steady weight wise - better than gaining, I suppose. Enduring a heat wave and wildfire smoke currently, so outdoor activities are limited. That should be my impetus to do a workout in the house, but I much prefer…

Great progress. The scale is only one part of the better health equation. Losing inches and gaining muscle is also good for you. Keep it up.

Greetings, all you seasoned citizens. I finally got my mind right and I'm starting to lose the pounds slowly. Logging food and weight every day. Reminding myself that it's alright to be a bit hungry at times. Hang in there, my friends.

Just checking in on all you seasoned citizens. Good to see so many of you staying active. Life goes on in my world. My wife had a hernia surgery last week. All went well with the procedure. Now we are dealing with the post-operative healing. The fun never stops ... 😊 Holding the line weight-wise. Got a slight downward…

Greetings, seasoned citizens. Just checking in here. I hope you all are doing well. No big changes here. Kathy has an abdominal hernia and she needs to have it repaired. She got some very high numbers on her liver test. She tried to snow the preoperative team doctor about her drinking. The doctor wasn't playing - she laid…

Welcome to @Sjtaitc and @KerryITD. Keep checking in here on MFP. I find it really helps with my discipline.

I know that struggle, too. But I have learned that logging my food makes me mindful of what I'm eating. And helps to keep me from going off the rails. I just started logging again regularly in January, but I'm already seeing the rewards on the scale.

I "leave" them on the lawn. :D Let nature take its course.

Welcome to the group. One thing that helped me is find things I like to do and work those into the daily routine. I have a dog that needs daily exercise, too. I tell myself, "You need to take the dog for a walk." The hardest part is getting both feet on the floor. Once I'm moving, everything else falls into place. I skip…

Hear, hear! Well stated, @ridiculous59.

Hang in there, Suz. I did the same thing starting last summer - gained 20 pounds over 6 months. Back on the program now. I want to see Onederland again, too!
-
I'm way north of 50. What a long, strange trip it's been. Buckle up, buttercups. You're in for a hell of a ride. 😁
-
Bumping this thread. Good to see some familiar names still posting here. Happy New Year, all!
-
Heard that. Time to buckle down and do this.

I haven't checked in here since October 26th. It's good to see so many familiar names and some new members as well. I continue to serve as my wife's caregiver. She's been in refraction (remission) for two years now, but she still requires someone to keep an eye on her. She's still pretty weak, physically. I drive her to…

"A grey headed possum." That made me laugh! 🤣🤣🤣

Greetings, seasoned citizens. I have been away for too long. Not much new here. My wife's cancer has been in remission for 22 months and she is generally in a better mood. Still drinking, sadly, but that will never change. Gained about 12 pounds over the summer. Finally got the scale moving in the right direction again in…

I lost 45 pounds in 2017 - down to 205. Have been as low as 188 and I need to get back there. Regardless, I have stayed below 210 - a 40 pound loss - for 5 years. I work as a building inspector - light physical activity.

Awesome photo, Sandra!

Heard that. I find that walking gives me time to think and sort things out. Also helps to restore my patience - I always need that.
-
Thank you, @Pdc654 and @coblujay. I appreciate your kind words. I walked three miles with the dog last night. Gotta' keep that up.

Greetings, seasoned citizens. Good to see you all working hard on improving your health. No significant changes in my spouse's condition. The myeloma remains dormant - that's the good news. She's still dealing with chronic joint pain and the effects of long term opiate use for pain relief. I continue with personal…

Drive by check in. Good to see you some old familiar friends still posting here.👍 No changes in my spouse's condition. The myeloma remains dormant. That's the good news. She continues to get more immobile. The injections in her knees lessened her pain for a few weeks, but the effect abated more quickly than normal. They're…

Great achievement, @Pdc654. Best wishes for you as you move to maintenance.

Had a family birthday dinner yesterday. Cooked a prime rib in the oven for the first time. It was delicious. We ate outside on the patio for the first time this year. That was enjoyable, even though it was a little windy. The yard is greening up. That "should" inspire me to do some yard work. We shall see. We got my wife…

Drive by check-in. Glad to see some active folks here. I'm upright and breathing and hanging in there. My weight has been stable. 200-205 over the winter. That's a miracle considering the lack of exercise. Getting out with Daisy a lot more now. Take care and hang in there. I'll try to post here more often.

Awesome achievement, @Pdc654. 👏👏👏

Hey, y'all. Just checking in. No significant changes in my spouse's condition. Less pain meds, so that's a good sign. Still sleeping a lot and very sedentary. All we can do is keep her comfortable. Saw Onederland for a few days last week. Maintaining around 200-205, though, so I'll take that. Have been stress eating a bit,…
