For those of you trying to eat more protein, there's a good database here on MFP. Lots of options for carnivores and vegetarians as well. A great way to find high-protein options that you can incorporate into your food plan.…

Bumpity bump!

Be strong, Kym. You've got a few tough days ahead. I'll take you hiking with Daisy and myself (virtually) until you get a new companion.

Thank you. 👍 Pfizer vaccine here, but hoping for a similar outcome.
-
That's good to hear. I had no soreness from the first injection. What vaccine? Pfizer or Moderna?

Happy birthday, @KeriA🎉🥳 . Well done on the loss in the midst of the celebration! Good plan on the sofa time, @karlschaeffer. I'm planning for a day off, too, after my second jab in a couple of weeks. Realized Saturday that is was the four year mark on my weight loss program. Started on March 6, 2017. Someone told me early…

Hey, Karl! Good to see you here. This is a great supportive thread. Please post regularly to keep things lively! On another note, someone else in this group posted some frustration about slow weight loss in their news feed. We need to keep in mind that weight loss is not linear - even when you eat at a calorie deficit.…

You're welcome, Tomas! Someone else pointed it out to me long ago. I have about 50 threads bookmarked. Some have some good information that I like to share or access from time to time.

You're in, Robin. This isn't a "group", per MFP. Just a running thread where people with common goals post and keep in touch. Bookmark the thread by clicking on the star above the page numbers at the top. That will help you find it again and MFP does notify you when others have posted in the thread. Come back and post and…

Wow - My last post got edited by the MFP moderator. I'm trying to figure out why. ❓❓❓ Spring has arrived in Idaho. 55 degrees and sunny yesterday afternoon. Green patches are starting to appear in the yard. YAY! Anyone posting in this thread is welcome to add me as a friend. I'm always glad to share support and…

Kudos to all you ladies posting here. You're an inspiration! Special thanks to @ReenieHJ and @jennacole12 for reminding all of us to love your body and yourself everyday. It's easy to think "I'll look better and feel better about myself when I lose 10 more pounds" - that may be true, but you still need to be mindful of…

Hey there! Hope you all are doing well. Went fishing for a couple of days last week. Had a great time with the boys and caught some fish for a change. Had some fresh steelhead for dinner tonight. That was a great reward for putting up with some nasty weather Friday and Saturday. Got my first Covid-19 vaccine today. Second…

Well, you know, men ... can't kill 'em, can't sell 'em for parts. 😁 My SO complained about the humidity in the house when I steamed a batch of eggs. Which I don't get, cuz' southern Idaho is one of the drier places on the planet. ❓❓❓ HAHA!

Kirkland protein bars. Protein powder - whatever's on sale. Boiled eggs in bulk (I've done them at home, too - but they're very convenient). Canned tuna and chicken breast. Butter. Jerky (again for the convenience).

Good point, Mindi! 😊 When I cook, I usually leave a mess in the kitchen, too!

You're a sweetheart, @Versicolour! 💖 I do love this MFP community!
-
It's all good, @Versicolour. I'm balancing things out from the other side. Hanging out with you kids makes me feel younger. Sometimes. 😁
-
@glojlilly - You can report them in this thread below. MFP is being inundated with lots of fake friend requests lately. Those folks can deal with these guys as well. https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10823922/help-inappropriate-friend-requests-pics/p1

That's funny, Mindi. That "someone" used to insist that the dogs stayed outside and slept in the kennel. She only allowed them in the house on special occasions. I was fine with that. I spent a lot of time outside with them. But I do enjoy having this dog inside. It does create some messy situations, though.

Hello, all. Just checking in here. Got the dog out for a walk the last two days in spite of all the snow. I was able to walk on the pavement and keep my feet dry. The melt is on now, so next will be muddy paw prints on the floors for a few days. 🐾🐕😁 Someone (not me) thought that this 70 lb. dog needed to sleep in the house…

Greetings, all you seasoned citizens! It's good to see more activity in this thread. Snowing in Idaho for the next two or three days. FUN FUN FUN! ❄😁 A friendly reminder - recently, spammers have been sending out boatloads of friend requests on MFP. Be careful and check out the requesting users profile before adding…

There's lots of good information and tips in the sticky threads at the top of each forum category. The links below are from a couple of the forums. Each forum category has some of this useful information. Check the appropriate forum and/or post a question in the forum when you need information or input on a particular…

Just checking in. Have an awesome day, all!

Heard that, @berky06. This is the only thing that worked for me, too. I'm a believer in the power of this community!

So true. The only workout I ever regret is the one I did not do. Good on 'ya for having the discipline to workout when motiviation is lacking.
-
Adult hot cocoa! I like your style, @teresadannar! 👍☕
-
You might consult a nutritionist or dietician to see if they can figure out what's going on.
-
You're an inspiration, @gam3rguy. Love the old school boombox for gym tunes! 👍

Are you logging all your food? Do you use a food scale? That was a real eye-opener for me. I was consuming many more calories than I thought when I actually logged and weighed everything.

I have an electric range and it takes a few minutes to get a large pot of water to a boil. Then 15 minutes steam time. I have unknowingly been using the "hot start" method. My results with steaming that way have been very good, though. Rarely get an egg that doesn't peel cleanly. SWMBO mildly complains about the steam in…
