  • It does work and thus far I'm reaping the rewards of lower weight. Sometimes I miss my protective layer of blubber on cold mornings, but the Japanese have a saying: Better to warm the heart and not the house. Their way of saying put some clothes on dummy. So I layer a lot these days. In much smaller clothing.
  • Caloric requirements to maintain a given weight does indeed reduce with lower weight, but where the need for additional caloric restriction post-weight reduction comes from is a mystery. Until they repeal the laws of physics; weight=calories in-calories out
