  • The last weight I saw in May was 128.4. Meaning I only lost like 1 lb this month, I had lost more but then gained some back. But I was NOT good this month and I'm kind of surprised it wasn't worse. My NSV this month that I'm focusing more on, was I took measurements again and I have shrunken down, a majority of the loss…
  • @xDaniDragonflyx I wish there was a "haha" button like there is a "like" button. I'm totally there with you. I have a way I'm doing it, I have no idea if it is right, but I'm seeing progress so for now I'm going to stick with what I've been doing.
  • @stormywxs288 It's totally a struggle. I did end up throwing away a few temptations out of my house. I personally know I wouldn't be able to do a long fast like that. I would get to a point where I'm counting down the minutes until I would probably over stuff my face. For me, I think it's better to own the pounds and think…
  • I went to see family for nearly 2 weeks, where I wasn't terrible, I did have some cheats but my whole diet didn't go out the door until the day before we left. I decided that day to just not count and enjoy my time with family, but after that I found myself finding it hard to get back at it again. I was literally like "let…
  • I know this month is going to be hard because we're going to be visiting family for a couple of weeks and we just found out we might be moving. But here goes nothing. SW: 134.1 @ 26.2% BF (3/27/18) April 29: 129.6 @ 25% BF GW: 120 would be awesome, not by the end of May, just over all. Maybe within a couple of months. I…
  • @d_dc_lady homemade keto chocolate whipped cream is my 1# go to when I NEED chocolate. It's so quick, easy, and delicious.
  • Confession time.... So after weighing in on Sunday at first I was ok with my results so far, but the longer it set the more disappointed I was. I thought I gave up so many of my favorite foods. Stayed below 32g carbs the whole month of April(the second half I stayed below 20g), AND I exercised in some form of way every day…
  • @River_Goddess that is one of my biggest struggles, stress eating, especially chocolate.i had a stressful week too and kept telling myself not to eat the chocolate in the back of my fridge. Stress eating is no joke and a huge struggle to overcome. But hang in there, every storm passes, and if you stubble in Keto, just get…
  • SW 133.6 on 3/27 4/1 132.4 @ 25.7% BF 4/8 131.4 @ 25.3% BF 4/15 131.2 @ 25.4% BF 4/22 130.8 @ 25.3% BF 4/29 129.4 @ 24.9% BF April loss 3lbs Total Keto loss 4.2lbs I didn't reach my goal this month, but I knew I was aiming high. I'm still happy with my results this month, and I'm going to keep going.
  • @elize7 I DO! I check to see if there are new comments at least once a day, usually more than that though. And I don't post every day but enjoy seeing them and get encouraged by the posts and try to make a point to at least react to the posts. But I really like this group and I don't think I would have made it through my…
  • When I posted my weight yesterday I meant to talk about my results from the changes I made last week. So even though the scale said 130.8 @ 25.3% BF yesterday, Saturday and this morning it says 129.8 @ 25% BF(for a little reference, I'm 5'2" tall). I had a really big dinner Saturday, and I don't think my body had processed…
  • Sunday 04/01 132.4 Sunday 04/08 131.4 Sunday 04/15 131.2 Sunday 04/22 130.8 Sunday 04/29 I was actually shocked the number wasn't higher today. We went out for date night and I had a big dinner, so I thought I would wait a little late today to step on the scale, but then I ended up eating breakfast and a high calorie…
  • @shizzlebeef I don't know anything about OMAD personally, but I've heard that regardless of how many times you eat a day you still should try to hit your calorie and macro goals. I think it's better to see your pants feeling looser and having to tighten your belt, than the # on the scale. That's awesome! You should be…
  • @mznik114 That's so awesome that you stayed strong and turned away from PIZZA and CAKE! I know that wasn't easy. Way to go!
  • @eggfooyamyam I am obsessed with Zumba. I do it about 3 times a week, and then I walk or sometimes play Just Sweat(Just Dance) for like 20 minutes. Haha. I just try to do some kind of workout of some kind everyday to get my steps in. I will even jog in place while watching TV. I might eat a little more the days I do a lot,…
  • @xDaniDragonflyx thinking about my shopping list while we're at family, I'm just going to make sure I have my kind of snacks and sides and suggest some kind of meat during dinners. So I'm going to get eggs for hard boiled eggs(eat as is or make egg salad for lunch), salads and ranch dressing, celery, deli meat, maybe…
  • Last night it just accured to me that I might be focusing on the wrong thing.... When you tract your macros, do you just focus on the % between carbs/fat/protein, or do you actually try to reach the suggested grams per c/f/p? Technically if you are hitting the grams on all of them then you are hitting the % too, but I…
  • So I just want to say kudos to all those on Keto who go to work and have families. I must confess that I work from home and I know that makes figuring out macros for lunch and then adjusting for dinner later a lot easier. I could do it if I went into an office again, I would just have to basically figure out my whole meals…
  • @stormywxs288 if you ever find yourself desiring cheesecake there are a ton of keto cheesecakes recipes out there, traditional and no-bake, since the main ingredient is cream cheese.
  • @JoannaVenuto before I started Keto, I was looking into doing Carb Cycling. It's low carb most of the time, but then every once in awhile you have a high carb day. From the research I did, which was mostly just watching videos on YouTube, some people that talked about were on the Keto diet and said that sometimes if they…
  • Sunday 4/1 132.4 @ 25.7% FB Sunday 4/8 131.4 @ 25.3% FB Sunday 4/15 131.2 @ 25.4% FB Sunday 4/22 Sunday 4/29 Well....... it could be worse, but I think I'm going to have to make some tweaks. For the last 8 years, I always platue at 130, and a lot of times to get to that point I have to work really hard. This week I have…
  • I've only been on Keto for 2 1/2 weeks so I definitely have not figured it out yet and will probably have to fine tune my diet still, but I agree with @4031isaiah. That's true with any diet, and anything really involving the body. Everyone is different. Reactions to food, medications, exercise will all be different, so…
  • Man, today was a struggle. I felt like my stomach was a bottomless pit. Work stress didn't help, I'm typically a stress eater. :/ I hung in there and did not cave and munch on all the things I could have munched on, and the things I did eat I tried to make sure was higher in fat to try to subside the hunger.
  • @xDaniDragonflyx Maybe cook big meals that you can eat the leftovers for a couple of days. Takes some of the pressure off of making something everyday. Also, one thing I always keep in my freezer now is frozen grilled chicken, Tyson makes it and there are some generic brands too, but it's fully cooked grilled chicken…
  • @stormywxs288 I do intermittent fasting too. I usually do 8hr/16hr. Eat between 11am and 7pm. and fast the rest of the time. For me this was actually pretty easy because a lot of time I wouldn't be hungry or would simply just forget to eat breakfast. This mostly just helped me stop snacking late at night. I also like the…
  • Made it through the first week! Sunday 4/1: 132.4 @ 25.7 BF Sunday 4/8: 131.4 @ 25.3 BF (-1 and -0.4) Sunday 4/15 Sunday 4/22 Sunday 4/29 I was hoping for a better number, but a loss is still a loss. I am very proud of myself though because I worked out everyday for at least 20 minutes. Let's do this week 2!
  • My biggest weakness is sweets, especially CHOCOLATE. I stumbled across another recipe that I think I will be eating a lot of. Frozen Chocolate Whips. They are great just chilled like regular whipped cream, or frozen like in the recipe. I had my husband try it and all he kept saying about it was "just one more bite" over…
  • @eggfooyamyam I've watched some of his videos and they are very insightful
  • You're very welcome!
  • Does anyone also keep and eye on their % body fat number on their scale along with the weight number? I think that along with tracking my overall weight, I'm going to keep track of the body fat % because even though I might see the same weight number, the fat % might be less, meaning I lost fat but gained muscle.
