The whole cart was filled with nothing but slimfast, to the point that it was a little hard to turn. Plus one of the kids I help raise was in the store with me. She's 15, 4'11" and about 100 pounds, so I think it may have been people being shocked/judgy. I don't know.. I just smiled and waved (especially at the one woman…

I'm shooting for just below the amount of potatoes the average American eats in a year (almost typed "the amount of potatoes the average giraffe eats in a year"... woops). I'm just above a 5000 BTU AC.
-
I bought 120 cans of SlimFast today... 60 for myself for the month and 60 for my Mother-In-Law. I got a lot of really weird looks pushing my cart through Walmart.

All are encouraged to join, and if you want to shoot for a lower number, that's fine  I know a few people who want to lose 75 pounds by then, which is much too ambitious for me.

If they're at the same table, they shouldn't be next to each other... it would be more like... ex, ex+1, you, SO, daughter, husband, his parents. In the case of no plus 1, you'd be stuck next to her, normally. If the bride and groom do the traditional way, they'd sit at a table in front of the rest of the room while you…
-
Normal wedding etiquette is to have divorced parents together during the ceremony if it is a church and they are on good terms, and then separate them for seating for the reception, unless the bride/groom will not have a separate table to themselves (that is, if bride/groom will be sitting with parents, then together is…

Wish that were true... then every time I wanted a brownie sundae I could blame it on my soul's needs... :D

I just checked the Celsius to Fahrenheit, since 47F would be a little chilly. It's 116F! I think I'd literally die. I do not know how cookies were in your mind... the only thing I'd be thinking of is water. When it hits 80F/27C here I just stay inside in the AC. I'm a Vermonter.. the heat is no good. Agreed with the fast…

http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/108454-50-pounds-down-by-valentines-day Here's the group page  @ernestrodgers82 Thank you! I'm in that group, too. I will still be 25 pounds from goal, which is why I think it's obtainable  I thought about shooting for 25, but that seemed underambitious. :D

@pofoster21 Noted  Definitely wasn't something I was trying to do :D

@kelly_c_77 Thanks! Went for a walk and took a nap, and that seems to have made a difference. @ythannah I can't blame menopause, as I'm still 22, but I can blame it on PMS (regardless of what time of month it is ) You're right though, it's all about what sticks for us, despite the little things. @nonoelmo Thanks!…

Yeah, I know he really didn't mean it as anything more than teasing, but today was just a sensitive day for me. I think I'm just a little over tired. Thanks for the kind words though <3

I cried most of this morning. My husband jokingly said he thought I could probably stand to lose another 100 pounds.. just good natured teasing, nothing abnormal, and I cried... for hours.. over something as stupid as a joke... =/

Maybe I just did it wrong then. I sliced the banana into little circle pieces, threw it in my oatmeal, added water, threw it in the microwave, then tried to eat it, and couldn't =/ Does it need to be mashed or sliced smaller or something ?

@oh_happy_day I've noticed the same thing. I look at people with similar stats to me now and I feel like I look so different shaped. Many of them have larger stomachs, and mine only has a little fat left that I need to get rid of. It's weird how people who have the same height, weight, and in some cases pant sizes, can…

Every time I go to make an appointment, the triage nurse at my doctor's office argues with me on whether or not I actually need an appointment. For instance, I donated blood and got a really bad rash as the bruise was healing. The rash was only in the spot where the bruise had been, and the bruise was turning yellow and…

<--- Lurker. Hi!

@spacequiztime Thanks! :smiley:

I made the mistake of adding sliced bananas to my oatmeal the other morning.... thought that since bananas and cream oatmeal is good, homemade would be better... Mushy warm bananas are absolutely disgusting, just as an fyi. I know I overlogged calories for that day, since I couldn't actually finish breakfast =/

Hey, mine is open, but it's not always the healthiest, so you've been warned. I'm honest with myself when I binge on ice cream or eat something that I shouldn't, so on days when it looks like a 10,000 pound monster got ahold of my diary.. nope, that's just me. I also am notorious for not logging exercise. A physician I…

@spamarie The first part of the whole process is to submit a very generic application which gives your scores and a brief view of who you are. The generic application costs quite a bit to send to each school, but it gets uploaded to a giant database. Next, if one of the schools you applied for likes what you have to offer,…

So I admittedly had never heard of the banana girl, and decided to do a google search. The first thing I found was a petition on change.org https://www.change.org/p/youtube-terminate-freelee-the-banana-girl-and-durianrider-s-multiple-youtube-accounts-and-internet-sites-and-ban-them-for-life where someone is trying to get…

@MelissaPhippsFeagins I've seen a lot of overweight doctors too, but from the research that I've done, overweight/obese doctors are often taken less seriously by patients. Their medical advice is less likely to be followed. On top of that, medical schools are more hesitant to accept overweight/obese students, as they…

http://www.mybodygallery.com/ I'm a little taller (5'2") [I never thought I'd get to say I was taller than anyone... ever!] but I use this website to view what people with my ideal body weight look like. I'm sort of a pear/hourglass combination. I'm an hourglass when I'm <160, but I'm a pear when I'm heavier. I think the…

I'm working to lose weight so I can get into medical school, but a big part of the reason that I haven't told anyone is that I'd like to have children some day. My husband and I haven't actively been trying, but we also haven't been trying not to, and that's for the last 5 years. I'm scared as hell that I will never be…

@JustChristy79 Thank you for the advice and kind words. I was going to ask if it took a toll on you and the kids with him being gone so much, but sounds like it works out well for you both. @airbent I'm working as a scribe in an Emergency room, so I'll be doing a lot of walking/chasing down physicians.

I'm still trying to make sure some people cannot recognize me.. =/ I saw my husband's cousin the other day and she was like "hey I know you!" and all I could think was "I wish that weren't true".

I have been considering advanced prep as a viable option. I prepacked a bunch of celery and carrot sticks today, which is a pretty small step, but at least it's something. Thank you for the tips!

@SueInAz Thank you for sharing your schedule with me. Helps me realize that if other people can do it, I can too

Every day when I show up for work, I have to have taken a shower that day (part of the work requirements...) I'm planning on 10 to 20 minutes a day being spent showering. Thanks for the tip on paying attention to food, though!
