I do 50 net carbs. Been losing very slowly and would likely lose faster if I lowered them, but... Is what it is... I may yet! I usually get about half the MFP Rec fibre and I'm not constipated...

WOOHOO!! ONEDERLAND!! I haven't seen that number since the 90's! Great going...
-
I LOVE cat pics! Ha! Totally!
-
I'm on the last day of week 3 and having a similar issue... My calorie goal is 1740 calories but I've been averaging around 1400-1500...
-
Perfect! I post pics of my cat and life... I prefer those kinds of accounts!
-
I see you're in Surrey??! I live on a gulf island in BC! Small world.
-
Awesome, thanks! What's your account? Now following everyone who replied!

I'm close to your start weight so it's really inspiring to see it can be done!

Yeah, I have something called Oral Allergy Syndrome (guessing that's what you have too, although that sounds like an anaphylactic allergy to me!). When my hayfever is particularly bad I have worse reactions to certain fruits and veggies that are related to the pollen I'm allergic to... It's a moving target, so sometimes…

Amazing!! Thanks for sharing, very inspirational!

Not yet... I still hate zucchini. Just the thought of pork rinds make me shudder. I have a low grade aversion to eggs and meat, so I'm hoping I start actually liking it someday... >:)
-
You're the only other person I've ever found that's allergic to them too! I'm covered head to toe in itchy hives if I eat them.
-
Anyone can add me. Just say something about being low carb in the message please. :) My dairy is open and public.

I know, right?!! He's been my doctor for about 8 years, and supported me through the process of getting approved for WLS (I dropped out just before I got a surgery date), has seen my weight go up and down over the years with my hormone issues, and has tried to help me with my PCOS by prescribing metformin (I'm off it now…

Well, he wouldn't do the Vit D again because I've already tested low and he said I just need to always take 2000 iu so no point in retesting. He didn't want to test hormones as the range for normal is so huge he doesn't feel it's the best way to gauge hormone function. What he did order includes: Haematology profile…

I know they won't test Vit D unless I pay $95 for each test, it's not covered under our gov't medical plan. I had it tested when I was going through the process to get WLS last year and it was super low, so I just take Vit D to be on the safe side... On the other hand, because I had such a low test, maybe they'll cover the…

Loved reading all the success stories. So glad there are so many here who can relate and aren't judging me, but instead offering support and encouragement.
-
OH! I never would have guessed that. LOL

What does HWC stand for?
-
Never heard of that before and I had to google it too. From what it says on Wikipedia, I'd be going to my doctor and getting it checked, or at least getting some blood work done at a minimum.

I read through all three threads. Thanks! :) Vowder, I agree, it's a great life. I'm going to have my eggs and bacon and cheese on a couple rye crackers (instead of a toasted bagel like I would have in my old life) and this afternoon I'm going to the marina with my family. They are going kayaking (I'll go once I've lost…

I don't exercise at all yet due to my pain and inflammation issues. The inflammation is clearing up already so I see more exercise in the near future! I also don't plan on eating the extra calories I burn so that definitely could help me lose faster. That was the piece I was forgetting! I saw your weight loss chart in…

I think I explained all the whys in another thread... Maybe not... Can't remember now... In a nut shell I'm losing my mobility and suffer from chronic pain, and I'm not okay with that. I turned 40 and decided if I don't do something now I'm going to miss out on my life... What motivates me is seeing the scale go down. LOL

Heavy whipping cream?? Like you drink it straight up? I'm in Canada, and a rural area at that... there are NO fast food restaurants where I live, but just across the water in the closest city there's basically just Wendy's, McDonalds, A&W, Burger King, Subway, Starbucks, Serious Coffee, Tim Hortons, KFC, Dairy Queen, Taco…

Doesn't have to be a literal Wednesday weigh in... Meant more like a weekly weigh in... Mine just happens to fall on Wednesday and I liked how it sounded... alliteration is nice... LOL

Now I'm craving cherries.

It's one of the few places my kid with tons of allergies can eat too.
-
Thanks! That's how I feel too!

In a perfect world I would have grabbed the hard boiled and pre cooked bacon from my fridge, some cheese and nuts, but I was late and didn't want to miss the ferry. Sometimes life just doesn't work out the way you expect! Plus I was literally nowhere today where I could have reheated something, so even your soup would have…
