I need to limit it for medical reasons. Acids like vinegar or lemon juice help. So do some herbs, like garlic and chives, or blends. There also are salt substitutes made from potassium, or MSG.

It could have a lot of oil and sugar in it. That can bump up calories. Always check the package.

There was a woman who died holding her "wee for a wii" while drinking as much water as possible. Different situation. Also this is a child.

I took meds and reduced cholesterol in my diet. The meds helped, the diet didn't. So the next thing was to increase meds.

My mom was always careful to hide if she was eating a slice of leftover pie for breakfast, but my dad did it all the time. Or a brownie, or whatever sweet was on the counter. I was a little confused because those things didn't seem to different from the pancakes or doughnuts we had a few times a month. Our everyday…

Yes, one rule, check the calories. And well, some salad ingredients are best eaten in small amounts.
-
I measure out one serving and put the rest away. But protein fluff is really nice and filling for an alternative sweet.

Carbs don't add any extra calories just because they are a carb. A calorie is a calorie. I eat popcorn almost every day.

Nope. The clear stuff is like the amniotic fluid. There is a little spot on the side of the yolk that becomes the chick.

If you want to be picky, then divide the weight in half and log it as two eggs of the smaller size. But one rare double yolker isn't going to throw your calories that far off.
-
Log it as whatever size egg it was. They are sorted by weight.

I pack a lunch for work and weigh stuff as I put it in a cooler.

Why would you stress your body so much if it's not medically necessary?
-
Thanks for being a good big sister. This isn't your responsibility but you are doing the right thing.

It's hard. I only had 20 lbs to lose. The first came off easily. But the last 10. Your body doesn't want to let go. I just keep plugging along. Where I am, it's a healthy weight so I'll be okay even if I stay here, as much as I want to be a little less.

As others have said, you can't. And you will probably lose muscle from lack of protein. And threaten so many other things in your body from the imbalance of nutrients.

If the parents know about it and do nothing it is a form of child abuse called neglect.

This. You can anonymously report it to CPS.

Is he over 18? Not much you can do. If he's under 18 your parents can have him hospitalized. Chances are he will eat when the hunger gets unbearable, but if he doesn't, he won't live.

And sugar does not cause diabetes.

If it's full calorie soda and you don't replace the calories with something else, probably. As long as your calorie deficit it enough. If it's diet, it won't do anything except maybe make your body find another way to feed its caffeine.

I like it with something like penzey's sunny Paris blend mixed in, and a serving of chips to scoop it out.

I agree, talk to a doctor to make sure it's not more serious.

Oh, that's my apple and celery issue. Luckily I haven't reacted to any other birch related foods yet. The good news is that usually you can eat the cooked forms. Have you reacted to them cooked?
-
My body breaks out in hives from apples and my tongue goes numb from celery. It's very possible to be allergic to fruits and veggies. To the OP, could you get a referral to a registered dietitian? It's possible, but hard to eat well with food limitations, and a dietician should be able to help.

Popcorn, eggs, milk, cottage cheese, yogurt, sour cream I buy fruits and veggies based on what is on season or a good deal.

For me, a diet soda would be more healthy than tea. Tea is high oxalate and my kidneys like to form oxalate stones.

Actually it can be not crazy hard to eat a bunch of perfectly ripe fruits, or especially dried fruits. And while avocados aren't high in sugar, they are still high in calories because of the fat. I think my brother once ate a pound of dried fruit without my parents noticing. But yes, both are not "bad" for you because they…

I don't usually use a recipe. But it's usually grilled or fried tomatillos, cilantro, jalapeño or Serrano, garlic, onion, some kind of acid (vinegar, lime juice, or lemon juice), and maybe spices if I feel like it. (Cumin, oregano or chiles of some sort.) If I add avocado, it's either avocado salsa or guacamole depending…
