I tried eating 1200 diet and I couldnt hang in with it. Raised it to 1450 calories and lost 18 pounds. There are days I eat below a hundred calories Its good knowing that I have the backup of a few hundred calories. Look up your TDEE. Maybe eat a bit less during the day if you are hungry later.

Today im greatful the 5.6 pounds i gained on a 10 day vacation was only water weight. Whew!!

It doesn't matter when you eat. As long as you stay under your calorie allotment.

Motivation comes and goes. Endurance and commitment will get you to your goal. Keep going! It will happen.

If has helped me tremendously by controlling hunger. Two weeks on and one weeks off. 16 hours fast a day. Did this for three months. Im thinking of stopping IF altogether. I have learned how to manage now without it. Lost 18 pounds not by IF....but with endurance and determination.

Just got back from a 10 day vaca. I ate below or at 1000 calories two weeks before leaving. Gained 5.8 pounds, four days later lost it all but 3 ounces. A lot of sitting in a car..3000 miles. I did over indulge a few days. Back on track and proud of myself for pre planning. Had a blast!

I agree. I was eating 1200 and bumped it up to 1450 because it was too low for me to manage. There are days I eat at 1200 but knowing I can have another 250 calories if needed. Just got back from a ten day vaca. Gained 5.8 pounds..was upset.. Weighed 4 days later lost it all but 3 ounces. Yep water weight it is. It helped I ate at 1000 calories two weeks prior. Yep Im sure you gained water weight.

Theres nothing wrong with get togethers and enjoying life. Just log it anyway and carry on. Once every couple of months shouldnt hurt.

No. It doesn't work for me to cheat. And if you cheat yourself you should log it. I'm betting 1200 calories is too low if your cheating/overeating.

Living intermountan west..Yah its great except in the winter. I plan on joining VASA for a few months then back to outdoors. Mountain hiking burns a lot of calories and enjoyable. I dont care where it is, as long as I am moving.

No, it isn't. However we have been close friends for 35 years. We influence off of each other when it comes to dieting. When I restarted MFP in July I decided I dont need to bring her with me nor do I need her influence on my own journey.
