Thanks for this--I did not know Metformin did that but since I have no side effects from it either, I don't mind staying on it for a long time (I've been on it for at least 20 years), especially if it helps suppress my appetite and gain lean muscle when I lift weights.

yep, this is me!...and why I don't eat anything 2-3 hours before going to bed--I just don't get a good night's sleep if I do and not eating 2-3 hours before bed has eliminated the acid reflux problems I had for years, so now I'm just use to not even thinking about eating late at night.
