Caesar salad with no croutons but including tuna (odd) and cheese. Bloated like a basketball and fatigued. Later tried a meal replacement with milk proteins in it to test that idea and wham sneezing and sinus flare up. Guess dairy needs to be off my list for a while. I keep hoping a cheese style or some dairy would be an…

Super excited. Diet back on track gradually for last 3 days and I felt energized when I got home from an 8am to 7pm intense work day including working lunch (beef stew with low sugar lemongrass sauce). Cycled to dinner (half a bunless burger) and my husband ate healthy too. Just finished my morning yoga, which I am back…

Where do you get energy from? Connect with people exhausting or energizing. Me, I am an extravert (the definitive energized by people) others need time by themselves to recharge. Both intraverts and extraverts can be very social folk and both can be shy, even socially anxious. When I move countries I go through a period of…

Great weekend. Fatigue has popped back into my life gradually as I tried 2 months of adding in a few extra carbs also equating with stress of telling staff of downsizing and potential I could finish too. Doing relaxation and dance, like no one is watching, (NIA) I think helps both my mind and gut. Anyone who likes the…

YES Most times I do measure each ingredient carefully, as fats can stack up easily. I may be strange but my need to eat flag is usually get fatigued more than sensing hungry. Thus my initial problem was not eating enough! What are your macro splits? Maybe the balance you have isn't right for you. As the others say get carb…

@meg924 how cool, you got to eat a little of something you really wanted and loose weight and meantime @sunny_bunny_ and others have found that not seeing those foods as food means they no longer miss them. I think you have wise words in there of "don't beat yourself up". For me, I find it frustrating when I am at the work…

@RalfLott I love the concept of being succesfully tested for food allergies. 18 points in my forearm suggest I an wonderfully healthy and not even allergic to pollen nor house dust. If you know of such a food test I am all ears. My understanding is that for things like histammine and auto immune responses they build up so…

Sounds like what is meant to be my diet. Happy to swap notes. I am eating eggs as my compromise as I found that cluster a little too hard. Will encourage my focus. Happy to swap notes.

@baconslave Congrats on your weight loss. Love your "Life is hard. Choose your hard" quote. Ditches self pity and excuses to the curb. Puts responsibility for our own choices where it needs to be, with us. Inspirational!!

Welcome. Feel free to add me.

@baconslave sorry for your loss. I love your meditative smiley. MFP deletes text after any emoticon when I enter on my phone. Good luck getting through the mess. Maybe kids handle grief by losing control and you handle it by gaining control?? Ohmmmmm indeed.

My nutritionist says he sees vegetarian marathon runners and folk who have bodies that almost shut down when they do not eat meat. He was personally surprised how much variation can occur between people who eat the same foods. Suspect gut biome is part of the story. His conclusion was Listen to your body and find what…

On the cramps, have you tried Magnesium citrate, 400mg? I have given it to my husband 3 times when his legs have been cramping and the relief was within minutes. Personally, I can tell that I forgot to take my tablets by the fact my lower leg will cramp and remind me. Hope that helps.

Welcome back Lori. Friend request sent.

Carb source matters for me. I may be a special snowflake but processed carbs like pastries, cakes and bread cause me to bloat up. Think 3 months pregnant kind of bloat. Certain food causes mild to mind blowing sinus headaches n sometimes sneezing. If your food choices are working great, if your food hates your body, make…

My exception to low sugar held for girlfriend doing her farewell pre baby arriving. She baked Pink small lamingtons, blue shortbreads and swirled either pink or blue biscotti. I tried a little of each. OMG... headache!!! Reinforces my choice to lay off the sugar! Love her fresh bake goods and they hate me. Got to learn to…

@dasher602014 interesting. Never heard of it. Starting to appreciate how one coffee (bpc) with good coffee keeps me full whereas bad coffee makes my head hurt. I think hydration really helps me not feel like I NEED to eat. @jetsamflotsam thanks for suggestion. Yes one week of drugs and a 6 month very low sugar diet…

@DorkothyParker. I agree Magnessium is great. If my husband gets leg cramps he now knows where my supply is, takes one 400mg and within a few minutes cramps gone.

Congrats. What an amazing achievement. Happy to have more positive supportive people here and friend them. I sent you a friend request. I am learning my food boundaries and love how healthy I feel on lchf

Lovely. You could mention tracking measurements not just scale weight and flag ensuring they get enough sodium/magnesium. Could mention some key search terms or sites to help them find low carb meals. That's a couple of tweaks but given you dont want to overwhelm them I'd just hit send. You are a good friend.

A comfortable place to live, perhaps not a healthy one, is one in which the world has no uncertainty. Many Folk, including my mum, protect that black and white world as it is emotionally easier than challenging our own truth ie beliefs. "If you are willing to look at another person's behavior toward you as a reflection of…
