Hmm, yes am also having trouble maintaining. It seems to be a common symptom eating a little bit over which balloons into eating a LOT more over and then having to backtrack. You have done an amazing job so far. Don't give up or give in! There are going to be hiccups along the way.

There are plateaus along the way (weigh) . Keep track and be honest with yourself about the food that goes in. Your body needs to adjust to your new style of living.

Yes, protein helps a lot. I have been weighing and measuring. I was amazed at how my portions sizes had increased over the years so with the MFP I have downsized the portions back to healthy sizes. As you said that was last week. Get back on track and try again. Don't beat yourself up about it. We went away for a weekend and ate at breakfast, dinner and brunch buffets. What has worked for me is keeping track with MFP of every single thing that goes in my mouth. I was surprised with how many things I just pop in and don't think about. So when I wanted something I realized how it would sabotage my plan and thus stay away from those foods ie extra pasta , sweets etc. This program has made…
