Yes, that's what everyone is saying. This is about calories in and calories out, it doesn't matter what the macro's are...

Well that thread turned south fast lol. Saw my future sister in law this last weekend and she's gained weight, didn't ask her about the Isagenix stuff and if she's still doing it because I didn't want to pick at a scab. Thanks for everyone's opinions on it. :)

@ebouchie I can't figure out how to get the Workouts to sync to MFP....how did you do it? It looks like everything is supposed to sync but all I get are the MFP calories and not workouts...

See that's the stuff I worry about ... people passing out or become obsessive over these things...it makes me wonder what is in them that turns people into crazed fanatics. :/

I get my steaks and marinate them in salt, pepper, fresh crushed garlic, dried onion, a little olive oil, worsheshire sauce and sometimes some hot sauce (but just a little and the vinegar based not tomato based). I let it sit in the freezer until I use them. Let them defrost slowly and make sure they are at room…

Some people are like you ... some people aren't. :) To some people the number is the most important thing, so when you know you're losing at home then go to the doctor and see the scale isn't the same calibration and the number is higher then you don't feel like you've lost anything. It can be really disheartening when…

I am doing the Biggest Loser Power Walks on youtube. They are GREAT. Right now I can do 1,2 on most days and sometime 1,2,3. Yesterday I did 1,2,3 and today I'll probably only do 1,2. In incorporates a little light weights as well on power walk 2. I am seeing great results and I don't have to leave my home office to do…

I feel your pain on stepping on the scale...I have never wanted to do it either. Since I started working from home I know I gained weight but I had no idea how MUCH I had gained. Now I'm losing but I still don't want to go to the doctor and get on the scale even though I weigh myself every day at home...

I'm 38 ... does that count? I just sent you a friend request. Feel free to add me. I've gone down one dress size since starting my weight loss journey and 8 pounds since I have been serious about this app (about a month). So I think I'm doing pretty good! :)

I see my sister in law, who is tiny (read 5'6" and 120 pounds) and in shape taking this and starving herself 2 days a week for the "cleanse days" .. she's looking more gaunt in my opinion but she says she's lost weight and "feels great with tons of energy!". I'm over here overweight and shaking my head thinking this girl…

I am being quite successful on MRP's for two meals a day and then eating the majority of my calories for dinner. Right now I'm at about 1.5 pounds a week when I'm being good and when I'm bad then I stall. I've just added in the last 2 weeks regular exercise (aerobic and light weights). I'm using MFP to track exercise and…

That made me laugh.

I am sorry you're feeling down today, but remember 20 pounds is a great accomplishment. I've only lost 8 on this app so far with a total of one size down in jeans. I've been big since shortly after I had my first child (think 16 years). Some days I feel like it's AWESOME that I'm down a size and am in size I haven't been…

It doesn't, it has ml....so how would you log it since it's a weight measurement and not a liquid measurement.
-
Well, remember that the way scales work is they can be off by just a few ounces and that extrapolates over a hundred pounds or two hundred pounds adding up to pounds of difference. So, a ten pound weight might be somewhat accurate but a 100 pound weight might not. That's why I like the weights and measures office if actual…

Add me :) I could use tons of friends. I'm 5'3" and 222 pounds looking to go down to 150 eventually. Immediate goal is fitting into the wedding dress I ordered which is 2 sizes smaller than the one I fit into.
-
If you live in the USA there should be a weights and measures office near you. They can test your scale and certify that it is accurate. Otherwise make sure it's on a level ground as I have found that if it's not perfectly level on a hard surface that will throw it off by many pounds.

I totally agree with @mysteps2beauty ...sometimes slip! When we're on our period, when it's a party, etc. The biggest thing is to get back on track. A few days of being bad won't kill months of hard work. It might feel like it, though. So just log, get back on track and look for motivation from MFP friends. They have…

Are you logging all of your food? What is your CICO deficit?
-
Ruin is such a bad word....schedule your therapy for sure, and make sure to keep the appointment. It's hard to control our urges and many times we eat out of emotion. I totally understand having bad days/weekends/weeks and slipping. But the good news is that nobody can see the diary except for you, so log everything so you…

I don't know how big you are but I love the Biggest Loser Power Walk series. I do them in my office since I work from home. Just look for it on youtube. There are more strenuous ones out there I'm sure but that's all I can muster. :)

"Are there many people who truly don't know you must be a calorie deficit to lose weight? I always think people are implying that someone is stupid or simple when they point that out." Yes, my step-dad is one of those guys. He goes on the "Atkins diet" or really his version of "I get to eat all the meat and cheese and nuts…

Feel free to add me as well.... 5'3" 38 years old and currently at 224....lost 8 pounds so far. I need more motivation so add me! :)

I am loving the Biggest Loser Power Walk series you can find them on YouTube. I do them in my office at home.

I'm 38 and I'd like to get down to about 150. CW 224 so I've got a ways to go too....little steps ladies and we'll get there!! Today I got TONS of motivation from these message boards and got up off my booty and did my workout like I should have. I was totally going to skip it today! I'm glad I didn't. :)

I would suggest that the OP ask her Pediatrician or her Lactation nurse about the diet to see what they think...
-
@segacs Yeah I agree it would be good to show them the formula to get to the 2 pounds a week. Meaning, your maintenance calories are about 2700 doing 2 pounds a week means 1700 a day which is cutting a LOT of food out of your system. It would be good for them to put it into terms that newbies can understand. (500 calories…

I am managing hunger through protein intake. Protein meal replacement in the AM, then workout, then protein meal replacement and then I eat a "normal" dinner that I make my family but just add more veggies to the plate and reduce the portion on what I eat. Lots of water inbetween. I am not hungry unless I am delayed in a…

I'm not sure that I agree that MFP should set the weight loss automatically. There are some people that know what it takes, however, I think a general education statement would be helpful. Most of the time I eat around 1200-1300 a day in calories and don't eat back all my activity calories because I want to loose 1.5-2 per…

Don't eat less than 1200. I am at 224 lbs and 5'3". I work from home on the computer all day long. I'm losing about 1.5 pounds a week as long as I do my 30 min of exercise 3-4 times a week. Youtube is your friend for 16-30 min workouts. Log everything and be accurate in your weights.
