Made it though one week of workouts! So excited and I can even climb stars without workout afterburn ;) tried two new keto recipes from an actual keto book (vs internet). Looking forward to week two!

Beef jerky and pepperoni sticks. They can have added sugar so check the carbs and all those nasty nitrates but I'll take nitrates over carbs any day of the week.

I hate to say it but if they make a comment I quickly say, "yup, I'm one of those that gets the runs from gluten. I'm too far from your bathroom, so no bun please!" Said with a laugh they have the chance to save face and learn to curb their tongue next time

If you have any access to a buying coop or are in a health field you could check out purity life.com. Once you open an account ordering in bulk gets some great deals and they carry the bulletproof line in Canada. I don't recall how much the mtc is off the top of my head but 947 for less than $30.

Awesome!! I just started a beach body program yesterday. Im already feeling the burn. Here's to sticking with it! It's 6 days a week so I'm intimidated but dedicated to a 90 day program.

I've been reading that nightshades (tomatoes etc) can cause inflammation. Tracking your pain level with your food log could help you find a culprit. I want to try cold laser therapy for knee pain, it sounds promising!

my stomach was protesting last night from the change in diet but I've taken some probiotics, digestive enzymes and salt/water and feeling much better today. already dropped a few pounds too!

Down 4lbs! Keto going slowly as a busy week kept putting junk in front of my mouth. I won that battle about half the time. The junk won the other half. Working out! On week two of a 12 week program. I'm giving myself a huge high five for getting started as I've procrastinated this for a year. Better keto this week ;)

I've been reading the bulletproof diet and he talks about carb loading on a protein fast day. Interesting. The fattest pants have left the building but the 'extra 5lbs during shark week' are still in the closet.

Wow! Canadian rodizio is $45-$55 per person, all you can eat. I wish we had a $20 version! Our local one does sell some amazing frozen burger patties too. They use their off cuts and are Devine!

I've had the grilled chicken version and used about 1tsp of dressing (I don't like dressing much). Maybe the calories are higher than a Big Mac but it has cheese, bacon, lettuce and chicken, much better macros (and the crutons are separate so you can skip those easily).

I used to need super sweet coffee but since adding fat I can drink it without! Good end are a must as well. I also aim for free trade coffee since they treat their workers better. Bullet proof coffee is my best friend ;)

I use a recipe from the wheat belly cookbook which is similar to the fat head but with no cream cheese and I sub pumpkin seeds for almond flour (pulverized in food processor) due to allergies.

I log based on raw state and save the fat to use in cooking. Then when I throw in a tbsp while cooking I don't log it.

I have trouble with this move too. I swing my leg through and then stay there without raising my arms. The next step will be to place my hands on my knee then once I'm steady there I'll move on to raising arms up. Good luck to us!

Same story with yogurt! I had to ask where the full fat was in a rack with probably 80 products he was hard pressed to find one that was full fat.
