This was a problem area for me too and I really pushed myself on the elliptical and got greater leanness, especially when doing intervals. I also did lots of lunges and squats. And ate low to mod carb. These pics are taken 10 months apart.

I work out at home with minimal equipment, some barbells, resistance bands and elliptical. I know I'm not the gym type and am much more consistent at home. I also do yoga at home. Is this an option for you? It also saves a lot of gym costs.

I have a feeling you already know what to do and eat in a way that you are very familiar with. I understand giving up the "crutch." Maybe start by not logging just one meal a day (say breakfast) and when ready move on from there. Just an idea.

The things I bring are easy peasy -- yogurt, nuts, carrots, apple slices, cherry tomatoes, cheese sticks, maybe a salad, sometimes a meat-cheese wrap in whole wheat tortilla, sometimes some dry whole wheat cereal (ie, shredded wheat) as a snack. It took awhile but I finally stopped eating any of the chips & sweets that are…

I have been out of town so not eating the best but I stuck with my routine of 3 meals a day without snacking and did some sort of activity each day -- yoga, lots of walking or lots of stairs. We were in Las Vegas where the meal portions are HUGE so my husband and I cut our meals in half and gave the leftovers to one of the…

I think 16 lbs in 2 months is awesome! I have a dog that weighs that much. Think about other things that weigh that much. Pick up 3 sacks of potatoes at the store. You lost that much! When I got overwhelmed with the journey I focused on other numbers beyond pounds. Measurements are helpful. Sometimes I was losing inches…

Very well stated. Agree with this. I felt a little lost after reaching goal and started feeling a little disappointed in the rest of my life. That has evened out now and I've become more used to this "new normal." It helps to keep my food and fitness a high priority b/c it improves my mood. But sometimes I wonder if my…

Great question. I lost 35 lbs and look better than I expected. I got my 20-something body back. But I am 53 and that means losing weight took fat off my face and that was a great surprise and adjustment for me. I have lines that I've never had before. BUT, I am SO much happier and at peace that I would not change a thing.…

I was in a nutrition/fitness program last year where I had to take weekly measurements and monthly photos for 1 year. I swear the inches and pics changed faster than the lbs came off (but they came off too). It was very motivational to focus on other changes vs just the scale. Greater energy, confidence & improved mood…
