If it’s an early morning run I will have easily digested carbs at least an hour before running (sultana bran cereal, banana, fruit and yogurt, oatmeal) If it’s an afternoon run I will have a light lunch and a banana 1-2 hours before running.

I am 14 weeks pp today and have lost 13.5kg of the 17 I gained. Haven't done much in terms of exercise other than walking and am only just now starting to pay more attention to what I eat. I exclusively breastfeed so that must be helping :)

I believe it can vary quite a bit and the 500 is an average (remember reading that some place). I'm exclusively breastfeeding and try to focus more on quality nutrition rather than a calorie goal.

Thanks :) found a whole new type of appreciation for what my body is capable of. I used to measure that appreciation in output in the gym and dropping numbers on the scales but after building and delivering a perfect and healthy little human those definitions have expanded beyond that. Such a Massive sweet tooth! If I can't withstand the cravings I'll just have a small tea spoon of honey. Not too high in calories and a natural product rather than processed goods.
