I believe it's a size 4. The 26 is the waist circumference, some brands have started doing this.

Many universities offer free counseling to the community from graduate students. There's also online counseling that is affordable. I highly suggest you get started in something.

Hey! I was in a bad car accident in October. My knee was basically destroyed, but they did surgery to repair my mensicus and ACL. I've lost 22 pounds since my surgery. I totally understand what you're going through.

I had amazing success on Phentermine years ago, but I was also counting calories religiously and doing a 3 hour workout everyday.
-
Yes. I actually pulled up the cafeteria menu with the calorie counts and was like, nevermind! I'll just stick with my lunch.

Years ago I lost 85 lbs, was in good shape. Then I started graduate school... and gained a ton of weight, that I'm working on losing. Please feel free to add me. :)

Absolutely true. But if people want to deny science, that's their prerogative I suppose. :)

Daily. It's my motivator, plus not knowing if it's "working" discourages me more than weighing daily and only seeing tiny changes.

If you get overwhelmed I think one of the best things to do is go get produce, meat, eggs. Basically the stuff that has a short shelf life (so usually the perimeter of the store). Then use something like Amazon pantry to fill in with any of the other stuff that you want. I shop per week, though sometimes I have to stop in…

If you think you have hypothyroidism or Hashimoto's, I encourage you to get tested or see an endocrinologist. Both are treatable. :) I'm glad you're feeling well! I was just asking based on some of your posts because they read as very down or frustrated, but tone is often lost on the internet.

I will say from a neuroscience perspective, fast food absolutely is addictive. It triggers many of the same neurotransmitters that the drugs you mentioned trigger. Something being an addiction doesn't make one powerless over it, that's AA's verbiage. It just means there's a physiological craving for it because of the…

It's really hard to keep a carb count below 20. I would also say it's not great for your brain (I'm a doctoral candidate of neuroscience, so I always worry about people's brains). How are you feeling? Tired? Foggy? Energetic? Reading your posts I worry that Keto isn't really working for you, and maybe a different plan…

My diary is open to my friends, feel free to add me. I'm a graduate student, so it includes a lot of premade stuff I can grab and go or fruits/veggies.

How are you measuring your food? Scale? Measuring cups? Eyeballing? That's a huge factor.

Yeah, I can't find a causative factor. It always seems to happen just randomly, very frustrating.

I completely understand! One of the ways that I use to stop myself from over-eating is to measure out a portion, then put the rest away. If I really want more when I'm done, I wait 30 minutes. If I still want it, I let myself have it, but I find I usually don't want it anymore. Feel free to add me as a friend. :)

I cut out McDonald's (and all fast food with the exception of occasional plain white castles). I looked at it from a financial point. It's cheaper to just buy food in a grocery store. :)
-
How many calories are you eating in a day? Are you weighing/measuring all of your food?
-
I'm always happy to have friends. :) I'm a 29 year old graduate student.
-
You can add me! :)
-
No one? :(

Pick me! I'm recovering from an ACL injury while trying to get fit and healthy. I understand coming back from injuries, and my diet varies. I'm a graduate student, so some days it's processed stuff, and some days it's completely whole foods. :)

I deal with anxiety and depression too. Grad school makes it so much worse, but I'm doing better on meds now. :)
-
I would ignore the friend. :)
