I was on a similar eating program, basically anti-inflammatory eating. (No soy, gluten, dairy, alcohol, refined sugar, nightshades, mushrooms, grains. It was a lot of NO.) I didn't do portion control, and I lost 15 lbs in 2 months. It was a difficult way of eating, but I feel like it really did some healing for me

I'm GF and paleo! (Gluten makes me sneezy/congested.) I can do small amounts of sweet potato, but have to watch it to stay in fat loss.

NSV = non-scale victory :)

Something that helps me is knowing that it's going to feel weird/uncomfortable for the first 2-3 days. If I know ahead of time that I might be hungry, but it won't last forever, I can make the transition to a different way of eating/schedule/etc. (Your period of "discomfort" may be shorter/longer.)

I'd like to join as well!

I have the Paderno one. I love using it on sweet potato - makes a great "hash" with an egg on top :)

Maybe ease your way back to being on track. What if you made just one change this week? Maybe .... just drinking more water. Or going to sleep on time. Or getting some movement every day. If you add one or two small changes a week, you'll be back on track before you know it.

I started a practice of weighing daily a while back. It took a few weeks before I wasn't "ruled" by the outcome. But, now I have a good sense of how much my weight fluctuates from day-to-day (more than most, I think!) and it helps me to see what is actually going on/see the trend.
