I drink mint green tea every day and no, I wouldn't say it specifically helps with weight loss, but that's just me. We are all different. It is claimed it has health benefits but what these are exactly I never found out.

Well done you, what an incredible transformation. You look great!

I agree with Jennifer, this time round you are wiser and by the sound of it you know what you want, which is already a great step forward. Good luck, stay determined and show everyone you can do it

Fantastic progress so far, you're doing great! Congrats

Hi, I'm new here myself, well this is the second time for me, one week in. Tracking works for me, hope it does for you too. Good luck!

I started up again only six days ago after a long break and usually I would waver after two or three weeks, this time though it feels different and joining in with the community is helping. Don't give up! Keep going :)

Hi Michelle. It was very much the same for me, around the 10-11 lbs mark in roughly the same amount of time. My last run before I got a bit lazy was the end of April. Did my first run yesterday and it felt pretty good.....legs hurt today though! I started 6 days ago and it's looking very good so far, so you can do it :)

Excellent answer @PinkPixiexox and a great diet/fitness ethic. I used to have a 'cheat', or as I preferred it, a reward day (not just a reward meal) once a week on Sundays and while I could still lose weight it was more difficult because I would be looking forward to the next reward day from Monday. I will look at…

Thanks :) It was tough but not as tough as I was expecting, only managed 3 1/2 miles though; will need to build up to the usual 5 or 6 miles over the next few weeks.

I only re-joined five days ago, living in North Derbyshire. It worked for me before but I didn't stick it out as long as I was hoping to. This time though I am more determined to attain my goal which is more about lowering about 7% body fat rather than losing too much weight. Good luck with your goal/s :)

Getting through my first run in five months!! :)

I love food too, chocolate is just one of the many things I enjoy eating. I am abstaining from chocolate for a month and then I will treat myself :) I'll add you.

Hi, these last five days has been my return to MFP for quite some time and it's little strange being back! I'm currently in North Derbyshire. The very best of luck to you! :)

Well done Amanda on the changes you have already made and even though it is never as easy as people say, try not to take to heart the negative responses on social media. Always think of the positive things and accomplishments you have already achieved and always look forward to achieving the things you are still working…

Interesting thread, very helpful comments. In the past I have had, to some degree anyway, a half-decent but not at all well-defined set of abs but my problem is I get lazy, stop exercising and do what I enjoy, eating! I'm not overweight, in fact I am a healthy weight for my height but I am carrying more fat than I want to…

I always used skimmed milk to make the protein shakes taste better because, and I agree with you on this, with water they do taste pretty horrible. If I had high fibre cereal with milk in the morning and two protein shakes over the course of the day then that would bump up the calcium and sugars too much so now I do half…
