You just need to start lifting weights and eat at a surplus. How much of a surplus depends on your end goal. As a beginner, you will get some good gains off the start, as long as you're consistent. Mark Rippetoe's Starting strength is a good start point. Also, I wouldn't advise exercising heavy every day. Give yourself one…

It's October!! Time to go pumpkin picking and a hayride with some hot cider.

Gotta be more of you out there :)

Does Soda count? I'll never drink soda. I'd rather eat a cheeseburger than a glass of soda. At least I'm getting something out of it.

If you have 100lbs to lose, I think it's a great way to make sure you're meeting your goals. Personally, I don't find much use out of my fitbit, except for the nice buzzing alarm it has. I have the Charge HR.

This is what I'm talking about. This will help you weigh your food ingredients, so that you can accurately track what you're consuming.

I generally try not to eat about 2 hours before I go to bed. Definitely not a heavy meal anyway. If it's something light like yogurt, or cottage cheese, whatever.. that's fine before bed. You don't want to have your body trying to digest a full meal while you're sleeping, when it should be repairing your body. So, if…

You don't HAVE to pay for the app. You can track your calories just fine without paying. In fact, I would say you shouldn't pay for it. The only thing I would recommend you paying for, is a food scale, which is a must, to get the most out of using this site. And that goes for around $14 on Amazon.

Squats, Glute Ham raises, misc core work. If you aren't strength training with weights, you should start with some bodyweight exercises until you feel comfortable switching to a weight routine. As far as food, other's have said it already. As long as you're at a caloric deficit, you will be ok. I would strongly suggest you…

Good dad.

Have your doctor give you a full bloodwork done for vitamin levels, so you can accurately supplement if you need to.

@shell1005 High carb low fat? Or high carb moderate/high fat? Fat is the key to staying satiated.

Don't worry about doing it wrong. It's good to ask questions! Unfortunately, genetics is the only way that can determine where you lose fat. You can't target specific areas to lose fat. Just follow a strength and conditioning routine that fits the equipment you have, and keep your calories in a deficit, and eventually…

@Monklady123 What about the Birds Eye Steamfresh microwave bags of veggies? That's my go-to source for veggies, and I eat probably two bags a day.

Bro date. Can do some MMA training or NoGi jits. Then get some bomb *kitten* food. No homo.

I think if you do any sort of physical activity, carbs are fine. Assuming you're not doing over 40% of your total caloric intake. You will most likely start craving more food because of that not-so-full feeling that carbs tend to give you after it's digested. I used to be low carb; like under 100g a day. Now I just try to…

There are 24 hours in a day. It's ok to commit to 30-45 minutes of exercise a day, especially since one of the main benefits of it is to extend your life, which will give you more time to spend with your children. Don't feel bad, do what you can do, even if it's 15 minutes a day.
-
@nicolehoefert I think you might have to use the website, and not the app.

Yes, go to the GOALS tab, and then Edit Previous Entries. From there you can add dates, edit dates, whatever you wish.
