Cardio should be a supplement to wieght loss in my eyes. Weights should be priority. If you are a girl who doesn't want to be particularly muscular than lift heavier and just gain mostly strength. Smoothies are always pretty good. Greek yogurt that's plain mixed with a favoured protien powder is pretty good as well.

If you can handle beans they are great on macros. They have alot of protien just mix them with a type of grain (or eat grain at some point in the day to complete the amino acid chain). Cause beans are cheap and filling. Get some tortillas and make bean burritos.

I feel like us former fat kids worry to much when bulking. Just lift hard and eat about 400 cals in surplus. You won't look out of shape it would take months of neglect to body and diet to gain any real wieght in terms of fat.

Also you probably aren't going to see much in a month. It's a sloooww process. You will be stronger but not much in terms of growth will occur on a noticeable level.

For muscle growth. A lot. 3 times a week is best but don't start with that or you may burn yourself out. Legs often require high volume cause they are used all the time carrying yourself around. Lots of sets for 10+ reps for size.

Put food in mouth.. but for real just use a calculator on some site to find ur bmr. Then eat like 250 above that. Don't worry if u jump like 5-10 pounds real quick it's just ur body storing more water/glycogen.
