Yes love home made jerky. Getting ready to do venison jerky. Very easy to make.

Try the negative calorie thing. I didn't like it so it's unchecked. YOU decide. I'm 64 not real active but do go to the gym (not a gym rat ). Been losing 1-2 pounds per week. Your mileage may vary..

Read labels, eat veggies, chicken is great. Weigh everything (get a scale, cheap, GOOGLE food scales). Join a gym if possible (some insurance helps with cost). Dump the sweets, the cravings will lessen. Follow the MFP plan it works.

Google Fit bit users manual. It explains everything. The manual that's in the box is almost useless.

Usmcmp , thanks ! :)

Would be a lot easier if people would enter weights and liquid volumes, rather than, 1bowl, 1 piece, 1 glass etc. These entries a waste of space and time. Trust, about 50% of the time at very most.

Should have been, NOT worried, not NOW worried.

Of the three choices, I'd go with the machine values based on age and weight. Choices 1 and 3 seem to be more guesses than anything else.

40-20-40, carb - fat - protein.

Perhaps stepping up the reps?

I have the Charge HR and love it.

You can disable the calorie changing in settings I believe.

7colors look at ebay under "food scales". All kinds for under 15.00 including free shipping.

Either way just saying "tests have shown", " not keeping up with the science", etc hold no more weight then advertising claims in magazines. Name the tests and science..

Gained 2lbs. It will come off. Now worried.

Buy a decent food scale. ANY food can be weighed. When in doubt, GOOGLE it. It does work when possible eat fresh, non processed foods, FAR less sodium. Don't be embarrassed by your weight, I was 254 and am now 217 going for 200. We on my fitness pal are AII OVER WEIGHT. Otherwise we wouldn't be here.

Including what exercise was done during those 5 weeks. I look at it but know it's got a lot of wiggle room in there.

Being bombarded by ads wherever you look showing junk food. Radio, tv, news paper, bill boards. No wonder this country is so over weight. Me included.. FOR NOW!

Going to inhale the Turkey white meat, a touch of potatoes, veggies and a nice piece of home made Mince meat pie and homemade sweet potatoes pie. Then, collapse... Back on the horse Friday !!

Frankie, week ends and crock pots. Cook enough for left overs. If you can grill, get family packs of skinless chicken. We do 10-20 lbs at a time, then vacuum seal and freeze. Freeze in 2-4 breast packs. These pack are great for when the clock pot food runs out later in the week. Love the vacuum sealer for meats, veggies…

Upping your protein intake while working out may help with the muscle gain. Get a good food and body scale. Weigh all solid foods, measure all your liquids. Drink enough water, 6-10 cups per day. Protein powder is a good way to up protein and add water intake. 24-30 gm. per helping and only about 120- 140 cals.

Kipper snacks! Yummmmmm.

+1 theocine.

Watch your form. If in doubt, ask a trainer at the gym.
-
Right on, ninerbuff !
-
A combination of the two. With free weights you also have the balance element, an added plus.

Yes. But, we don't have to like it, we just have to do it... Perhaps a work out pal ?
-
Balsamic vinegar, give it a try. It doesn't take alot.
-
That's (min and cals) not calls. Auto correct is another unneeded hassle.
-
I also don't log my exercises. Wish MFP would give the option of tracking (min and calls) but NOT adding the cals to the diary. My scale will tell me how I'm doing.
