That sounds to me like a failure of the app! I didn't catch that. I did weigh my shredded chicken breast on the scale, and the app only goes up to 99 grams. I actually ate 122 grams on my salad. Yes, I know not everything is logged exactly the same way, because I find myself in different situations where it's difficult to.…

I haven't been able to maintain a loss for about 3 months. I've chalked it up to my cocktail drinking, but changing that behavior has not made a difference.

I love them, and I'll never give them up, but they do add up. I like to substitute them for noodles in soups. They give me the hearty comfort I'm looking for.
-
For me, I had to add more fruits and vegetables and light fare, and back off the cheese and nuts.

You CAN break your addiction to mindless munching but you have to work through your anxiety in a different way. Get up. Get active
-
Not sure. All I know if I get that feeling full benefit from cabbage, radishes, apples, etc. moreso than leafy mixed green salads, and they seem to help me digestively more too
-
Yes! And I find not all veggies and fruits are created equal when it comes to their fiber benefits.
-
I try to eat a lot of fiber for my digestive system, and it helps with that of course, but it also seems to benefit in my Weight loss effort

The basis of my breakfast every morning is Ezekiel bread. I vary what I put on it, sometimes hummus and tomato, sometimes a thin layer of mayo, turkey and tomato, sometimes peanut butter and honey, sometimes an egg.

I like Green Giant steamers - veggies in a box and salad kits like sesame Asian with raw cabbage and kale

Always sprouted grain bread

Thanks everyone. I do adjust for my cardio so I add 300 calories on those days.
-
Thanks. I tend to eat more vegetarian, and maybe what I need on these days is more chicken, eggs, etc. Thanks

I think it's easier to lose weightwhen you include lean protein as part of your diet, and it's difficult to do so as a vegetarian. There's no leaner meat than chicken breast, which is very satiating. That said, I strive for a plant-based diet, and indulge in meat and dairy as little as possible for environmental and…

I always gain a few pounds after a weekend of drinking, and it is mighty discouraging but a reality nevertheless.

Wow it's the opposite here! Both genders struggle with obesity but it is super common to see obese and near-morbid obesity in women. Many struggle with walking and simple movement.

Wow. Interesting. Thank you all for your replies- so varied! I am a committed home cook and pretty much a hippie (with some type A in me). I went to a liberal university in my home state (not here) where I became a farmers market, food cooperative shopping locavore. I garden and can. I do have some like minded friends but…

I was on my computer when I researched this so I don't know exactly where the article was but I do remember reading Texas got a bad ranking due to the number of uninsured.
-
Wow, you all have really good thoughts! Thank you so much. Soaking it in!

I count all my veggies, they just don't amount up to much for me. It's probably a good idea to do so. They are nutrient rich too.
-
Yes, but I don't think they make or break you, especially the ones with negligable calories ... but maybe I'd lose more weight if I thought differently!
-
I think you look great! Stay where you are for awhile and gear up to lose more if you want, but maintaining here might be a worthwhile endeavor for now.

Fixing your own food is the only way to take full control of your health. Once you get better at it, it'll go faster. I'm a single mom with a job and a disabled, totally dependent child, and another less dependent one, too. I bring my food to work everyday and eat what I have in my refrigerator and freezer. I feel great.…

I'm 43. I think we just have to come to grips with aging. Being overweight stretches the skin, losing it kinda leaves it there. But aging is certain and being overweight isn't. I agree though, it's hard to deal with being over 40. My 40th was the only birthday I dreaded, and I'm still barely over it! Your hormones start to…

Keeps me accountable.

I like to make the Good Seasons salad dressing packets. You can adjust the amount of oil in them.
-
I think hunger is part of the deal during weight loss, but that you adjust and it doesn't last forever. I think there is at least some discomfort but that just because it's uncomfortable doesn't mean it will last forever.
-
Oh my that is absolutely the worst news!
-
I will say, though, that I feel pretty confident that I am eating within the 1560 calorie range (except for cocktail days).
