Just found something to help LCHF to use MFP more efficiently. Going to follow the instructions to see if I stay within my percentage goals better. http://www.travelinglowcarb.com/4448/myfitnesspal-hack/

I kept my at 1200 calories but I don't pay attention to that figure. I look at the carb, fat, and protein section. I put the goal percentage 5%, 70%, 25% respectively. I am always over the calorie count even more than double the calorie count. As long as I stay within the percentage , keep carb grams low, and eat good fats…

I really wanted my husband to take me out to brunch, but did not want to be tempted with the potatoes, toast, etc... that comes with dining up. My husband showed me his love by making me breakfast of eggs and pork sausages. Although he did make himself french toast. We had a wonderful dinner of steak, roasted…

I am 43. Add me.

I have Trader Joe's Dark Chocolate Lover 85% cacao. Just a few squares of the chocolate really satisfies hunger between meals and helps with sweet cravings. As long as the chocolate has a high fat content and high cacao -80% or higher, it should not affect your weight loss. It hasn't with me so far. This chocolate and the…

Get a heart shaped metal cookie mold and cook your eggs in it. I even saw one where they used two different molds. The smaller one for just the yolk. once that is pretty cooked you put inside the bigger mold and pour the white part around the yolk part. Very cute!

My father is diabetic. I have gone cross country twice with my parents. Both times we had a cooler and filled it with some meats, veggies, some fruit. Every couple of days we would stop by a Walmart and fill up the cooler and other foodstuff my father could eat. Every once in awhile we would stop at a fast food restaurant…

There are benefits to fasting. Rather than skipping lunch it is better have a continuous period of where your body is fasting. So either skip breakfast or dinner. No snacking during your fast period. My doctor had me on breakfast fast for a period of time. You get used to it in about a week. I couldn't have anything except…

Make avocado pasta. You can replace regular pasta with either quinoa pasta or zoodles. http://damndelicious.net/2014/06/20/avocado-pasta/

I try to drink a minimum of 64 oz, most days I drink more. Where do you live? If you live in the desert area you may feel more thirsty. I used to live NY and drank a lot less and did not feel thirsty. Now I feel more thirsty. If you do low carb you need more water. Unless there is a medical reason for you to be on low…

It sounds like you are doing a low carb diet. When you are on a low carb diet you need to add more fat, healthy fats that you get from, eggs, nuts, EVOO, coconut oil, avocado, etc... You also need sodium. Unless you have high blood pressure or kidney disease where the doctor has advised you to cut the sodium dramatically,…

If you are snacking because you are bored or stressed try eating something crunchy, carrots or almonds are a good options.

People make nasty comments in order to feel good about themselves. Just keep in mind that those comments are really about them and not you. I know it is hard not to feel hurt. Just keep doing what you are doing, this is all about how you feel about yourself and not about other people. Rant and rave all you want here, just…

Just found a recipe I want to try brown sugar glazed beets http://www.eatingwell.com/recipes/brown_sugar_glazed_beets.html

My favorite is roasted beets and goat cheese salad.

You need to look at the foods you are eating. Are you eating a lot of processed, pre-packaged foods. They contain a lot of sodium. You should try to cook your own food so that you can control the sodium that you put in. Even for your salad make your own dressing. I make mine with olive oil, Acid (apple cider Vinegar , red…

Google freezer meals. Here's a site to help you get started http://happymoneysaver.com/freezer-meals/ They may not be all the recipes that will be good for your diet but you can always find healthier versions. Once a month or once a week make a lot of the meals. Freeze them and take out what you want and put them in a slow…

I bought mine off of amazon. It is the presto brand. It is under $50.00. Mine is the stove top rather than the electric. Most recipes you find are based on stove top version you have to make adjustments for the electric type. They are easy to use and you can make dishes in minutes rather than hours.

I love to cook as well. I especially love to cook gourmet dishes that I can find in magazines like Food & Wine. Unfortunately they are high fat and high calorie dishes. But there are plethora of recipes online that will help you figure out a healthier version of your favorite dishes. Don't be afraid of looking for vegan…

You really shouldn't decrease. I would look at what you are eating. I am not suggesting eating low carb or low fat, I think that is up to individual's body's interaction with the food to eat. Are you eating too much junk food? You might want to switch up your diet and see how your body respond to food. I try to eat a low…

It is true if you don't eat enough calories your body will think it is in starvation mode. However, it all depends on what you are eating and how much exercise you are getting. If you are losing weight week to week I wouldn't worry about it. Once you have reached a plateau, where you can't seem to lose weight for a few…

I don't deviate too much from set menu. Breakfast is always two fried eggs and a piece of fruit. On weekends I add bacon. Lunch will be salad of some sort. Dinner will be some sort of protein and veggies. It is easier to track and if I deviate from my usual fare I can see how that particular food affected my weight loss.…

I am not sure what Asian ethnicity you are but you might want to take a hard look at your ingredients. I am Korean so my food tends to be high in vegetables and fish. Most of my food is cooked as a stew or steamed, or very lightly stir fried in oil. I try to stay away from the dishes that are heavily fried in oil. Rice and…

Before I never drank water unless I was thirsty. I never believed that sometimes when you are hungry you are really thirsty. Lately i have been drinking a lot of water and it is keeping the hunger at bay. So now when I feel hungry I know I am really hungry. Less snacking in between meals. I have 64 oz bottle with me all…

Even if the routine is different each day but if you are doing the same type of exercises then it is overall routine. Try an exercise that you haven't tried before. If you aren't using the stair climber already, that helped a lot of people I know get off the plateau. Sometimes you may need to increase your calorie intake…

If the gym is on your way to work, AM would be the best. I am not a morning person either but I got up in the morning to go to the gym. It was great because there was a lot less people. Then I'll shower and get dressed at the gym and go to work. Breakfast is either packed or try to buy something healthy somewhere. When…

I have Paderno 4 blade Spiralizer. I love it! It was a little hard if the zucchini is too long or curvy. I blanched it a little because I wasn't sure if the family would like it raw ( i don't mind it raw). They loved it! Made homemade tomato sauce and meatballs it was great. My brother and his wife made pad thai with their…

Congratulations! I am not sure about changing your body shape. But you might want to change up your exercise routine that may help target muscle areas to get tone in ways it hasn't before. Look to cardio exorcises that has a lot of squats involved. My favorite is willpower & grace. They don't have the DVD any more but if…

Squats for toning the lower area and ab are great. A few years ago I did a class called "WillPower and Grace" (lots of squats, can look it up in youtube) once a week and I really slimmed down on all the lower areas in a few weeks. I fit into my clothes better and I looked better overall. Kickboxing was a good workout that…

I would make your own taco seasoning you can find recipes online. Just make a big batch and store it in jar to use whenever you need them. That way you can adjust the amounts of ingredients to your taste, especially the salt. You might want to switch to pink Himalayan salt or mineral salt. A little pricey, but better for…
