I missed this yesterday but yesterdays lunch and todays are the same...3.2 oz of ground turkey (seasoned with pepper and salt-free Mrs. Dash garlic and herb), a little less than a half cup of rice and green beans, with an unsweetened applesauce. Right at 300 calories!

Maybe you can try to get to the gym more than 3 days a week? Try 4-5 and see if that additional exercise helps. I know you said your options are limited due to ortho problems, but maybe trying something new will give your body a jump start.

I agree with everyone else. It has to just be a lifestyle change, not a diet. Don't restrict things you love - like for me, I refuse to give up pizza. A world without pizza isn't a world I want to live in! So I find ways to work it into my "calorie budget" and make healthier versions. As far as exercise, try and find…

No, unfortunately. I got a heart rate monitor for Christmas (Polar FT4 - only $60 and works great) and it is the most accurate way to get your calories burned - and Ive noticed the calorie burn on the FT4 is often significantly less than what MFP and what machines (treadmill, elliptical, arc trainer, bike, etc) at the gym…

It's okay! We all have bad days and weeks. You just cant let it turn into a bad month, or bad couple months. You can get back on track!

I almost always have a snack after dinner and before bed. I know you arent *supposed* to eat anything at night or close to bedtime but 99% of my workouts are at 8pm (after my kids go to bed!) so I end up having a snack around 930-10. I just work it into my calories for the day.
