AYE I wasn't clear. I meant as I haven't been practicing it I wonder whether my body ....and mind was still up to it. You know as soon as I've typed that-I'm thinking I'm gonna give it a go tomorrow before or after plank workout With a sensible rest period in between.

From what you've shared, that is sensible not to carry out a side plank that brings on twinge pain. Would recommend seeing a physical therapist/sports medic for clarity of boundaries.

Courages Spliner! Would halving the lift in body weight by placing knees on floor help alleviate any previous pain? Doing this perhaps may familiarise the lower back and core and introduce flexibility. Sounds like you've got this.
