  • A mix... switching between Alkaline Trio's album Maybe I'll Catch Fire and Coheed & Cambria's album Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV, Volume 1.
  • I've already dealt with identity theft after who knows what breach (health insurance, hospital records, credit cards...) Everyone's info is out there already in one way or another. Be sure to stay on top of monitoring your own info/credit and you'll be fine. I wear a Garmin VivosmartHR (recently got upgraded to it by…
  • Best sport at any age. My photography has been published in books and online. I mostly do sports photography of the Los Angeles Kings. Go Kings Go!
  • Hey all. I work for my local government and investigate welfare fraud (Food Stamps and Cash Assistance). Let me help shed some light. The places that accept EBT for prepared food is allowable for those receiving Cash Assistance (Not Food Stamps). This includes programs like General Relief and here in CA, CalWORKs (a…
  • I've noticed that it syncs better when you open up the Garmin Connect app, sync your data, then open MFP, then close/quit Garmin Connect and reopen it when MFP is still running in the background. :joy: VivosmartHR user here after my regular Vivosmart kept malfunctioning (yay to Garmin for my free upgrade).
  • When I put on a pair of my lounging capri sweats and the synched calf part was loose (and the waist). When the larger pair of jeans I just bought began falling down when I walked. When I started to drown in my old shirts that used to be snug. (Went from XL/XXL to L) When I no longer was so depressed to shop for clothes…
  • I get up for work at 4:40am and am a night owl by nature. I TRY to get in bed by 9 so I can hopefully sleep by 10. I notice that the days I go to bed earlier or fall asleep faster (ha - so rare), the scale is more favorable in the morning than if I do the usual 10:30-11pm trying to sleep routine.

  • I'm can cook, sew, fold origami, do motor swaps on cars, I raced sport bikes (prior to back surgery), and used to street race wayyy back in the day. I'm a tom boy basically. And a certified craft beer snob. (My screen name is the license plate of my bike)
  • The one thing I tell people that seems to have the most impact is that before I indulge in something, I ask myself 2 questions: 1. Have I had it before? (If no, go to question 2) If yes, that means I don't need it now. 2. Can I get it again? If yes, I don't need it now. If no (AND it's special - like an Iron Chef prepared…
  • I'm also 33 and had to keep an eye on my BP since it was getting pretty high. What really helped me is joining a Biggest Loser competition with some coworkers where would weigh in weekly in front of one another. It really activated my competitive side (and not to mention I didn't want to be "that person" who gained weight)…
  • Long Beach, CA :sunglasses:
  • I had someone from upper management at my work tell me how fabulous I looked and that I was "disappearing" before her eyes. I told her I still had a ways to go and she seemed genuinely surprised I wasn't already at my goal. I recently ordered some boots on Amazon (deal of the day) but was hesitant since the deal wasn't for…
  • Long Beach here. :sunglasses:

  • I've been listening to a more energizing playlist while at work (usually don't listen to anything) and I find myself more motivated to move them and after. Thanks Deckhand562!
  • Started losing last September...
  • I think that people telling you how you're disappearing and that you "couldn't possibly have a 20+ more to lose" is actually a bit discouraging. The positive feedback is great for my confidence, but it really was reaching my low that help me get motivated. The more I like what I see the in mirror, the less focused I have…
  • Funny you mention the picture. I just came across one of me from this month last year. I cringe every time I see it. Maybe I should put it as the background on my phone. lmao The two things that have really helped me lose so far have been that I did a "Biggest Loser" comp at work last year (Sept - Dec) and won it and I ask…
  • Thanks! Sounds like you've had a great journey so far too! Amazing how our bodies find that old zone and just want to quit. I wish I could get in work outs before work. I tried going to the gym at 3am before, but it's brutal. I'm up at 4:40am and work 6:30am - 5:00pm. I'm home by 6pm if I'm lucky with CA traffic. Then it's…
