I'm in for the all-animal April. Will be using this last week to transition and will use up the rest of my veggies consuming more meat on a gradient. Excited to see how it turns out!

You're so right. The human body is very complex and with multiple systems at work, judging your progress by weight alone simply can't be accurate. Every day firmly on track is progress. Thank you for this awesome post.

Butter and HWC are great sources of fat if you're doing dairy! Personally I eat coconut oil straight off the spoon, but I don't like cooking with it so I understand how you feel.

Had similar problems when I started, plus a b$!#h of a headache. I took some salt and potassium tablets, and that did the trick. 300 mg of each, I keep it up since I exercise and drink plenty of water too and find that those symptoms are due to lack of salt. Without potassium I get leg cramps like the billio. You could…

Had a lite-n-fit Greek yogurt in key lime flavor and it was SUPER sweet but only 80 cals. But it didn't make me feel well. I stick to 90% cocoa bats only now. If you're hellbent on having sweets try artificial sweetener or things with sugar Alcohol instead (malitol, xylitol, etc.) I stopped eating sugar and thus stopped…

SW: 145 Feb 10 28 Feb 138 14 Mar 135.5 GW: 120 I don't think I'll make it by end June but that's okay, I feel a lot better eating the way I'm supposed to and exercising.

Ballet Beautiful routines are great for that area- will feel a great burn without risking your knees or back.

Awesome, glad to hear it went so smooth. Well done!

Can't wait till I have an oven! Currently I have a Nu-Wave infrared oven and this produced some... Bizarre results. What kind of protein powder did you use?

Weighing food and tracking calories helped me with portion sizing. I tend to overeat and would mis-estimate a lot until I started to measure. Yeah it might 'feel' a certain way, people might think its weird. A lot of armchair psychiatrists over the internet would say its ED activity. Well, it works. I don't care if its not…

Peel off the toppings and eat that pizza too!

Keto diet stopped my cycle completely last time I adhered to it, 3 whole months. Every body is different of course so things can vary, but this as a phenomenon is not unusual. See some studies done on it here: https://gokaleo.com/2013/06/13/restriction-and-menstrual-function/

If I have to go somewhere new I Google the menu on the way there. My advice would be to get really familiar with what's low carb and what isn't- and don't be afraid to ask for substitutes (veggies instead of rice on the side at Chinese for example). In general I ask for bunless, in a bowl, sauce/dressing on the side (give…

Dragonwolfs post is some of the best advice for that issue that I've seen. You CAN make it work! I hate cooking, food prep, everything, but planning and being able to control what you put in your body is best when you prepare food for yourself. It doesn't have to be elaborate and there are a lot of ways to keep it real…

Placeholding post, I weigh every Monday as motivation to stay good over the weekend. SW: (29 Feb) 138 lbs CW: (7 Mar) ??? GW: (End June) 120

I love gum, it helps me keep from snacking. Due to the carbs I keep them counted and don't go over board- one piece for each between meal space, between breakfast and lunch for example. Since I chew gum instead of food I figure that even an extra piece or two is better than whatever I would have eaten!

Crack slaw! Filling and real cheap. Ground beef is my go-to but keep an eye on meats for discount, my Albertsons puts meat on sale near the end of the day.

Nobody in my life does LC! Looking for a group with similar mindset to share successes. Its works so well for me and I wanna see the same happening for others

I'm in! Hypoglycemic and have trouble feeling well after eating sugar so I avoid it and have been doing SO much better. For me, eating sugar comes along with eating bread and dairy usually, both of which I need to avoid. Pledging a sugar and artificial sweetener free 2016!

I'm on keto so I keep to less than 20g carbs each day. I keep calories targeted 1000 cals as a limit but when I exercise in the morning it really kickstarts my metab so 1000-1200 is what I hang around. Weight loss is a goal but I'm focused on keeping my energy levels up and discipline in. Feeling great and I stay more full…

I do Ballet Beautiful routines and they kick my butt! 30 mins alternating walk and jog on the treadmill in the morning and then BB in the evening for however long it takes to do 3 different muscle groups and stretches before after and along the way. I like my BB but am thinking to switch back to Kayla Itsines, I did that…

I'm Tigs and am a little late to the official start but began my weight loss trek around then anyway. I'm mostly going for a target in inches and clothes size, I started around 140 and am aiming for about 120. The weight is a way to keep track and I'm definitely seeking to slim down for a special outing this summer, but my…

Low carb is best carb! I'm hypoglycemic and low carb has been my most successful lifestyle change to being able to stay active and keep to a sensible calorie goal- proteins and fats help my energy stay up and my belly feeling full. Mfp has been probably the best addition to my routines as a tool to stay rolling and have…
