It is possible. I recommend that you seek a doctor's advice because you are trying to lose more than 5% of your total body weight in a year. They'll have a lot more information and advice that will be helpful to you, as well to help you avoid potential problems.

I was once so constipated that when it resolved fully over a few days, I dropped five pounds.

I agree. There is no need to panic and you should be able to just resume normally. Two days of bad eating is just a small bump in the road. It'll resolve in time if you resume your typical activity.

Make sure your profile is setup correctly (weight, gender, age, etc.) in your HRM software. If it thinks you are a 230 lbs, 23yo male, it's going to say you're burning 2600 a day just sitting on the couch. If you are using an active HRM with chest strap throughout the day, I can't imagine the batteries in the chest strap…

So, the good news is that almost without exception, everyone really wants and likes calorie dense/rich food pretty much at the first thought/smell/sight of it. I'm not even British (or one of those rare other stone-unit-of-measurement using people [ps, I'm a 'murican]) but just reading your post is making me think about…

But I think my desired effect is for my body to burn fat and for that I just try not to ingest too many carbohydrates very often and force myself to burn…

I used to do scheduled cheat days but I no longer look forward to them. After a while I didn't find them particularly satisfying and the food I ate wasn't particularly memorable. I let myself go over on calories when I think that the food is particularly noteworthy but I don't give up on the idea of moderation any more.…

Friend or foe... It's interesting. I think it depends on how much it is in your life. People are great friends unless they are too much in your life. Once they start hanging around too much they become foes pretty quickly. I imagine the same with diet coke - one every other day is probably just fine. Four a day is a…

Some of the posters have already given some great advice. I want to say a few things that have nothing to do with food, exercise, intake, or output. You've already been trying for three weeks and you're asking for help. This is great. If nothing else, developing your attitude and your willpower is great for your mental and…
