Oh yes to the weighing food comment. Usually from The friend with gut that sticks out far enough to set his beer on while dispensing that great advice

Oh yes, been there and got those weird messages I put snickers candy bars for breakfast in mine when I go on bike rides Maybe 2 of them. And if it is a Long 50-60 mile ride, I may eat a whole small pizza for late lunch. I work my diet and exercise as works best for me. If someone wants to hang with me on a Saturday and…

Exercise is three a component event Fuel Physical activity Rest For exercise to be optimal, you need to include all three. The more intense the exercise, the more important each factor becomes.

Why was this post flagged 4 times? Really? Stating a different opinion that is kind of correct is now worthy of getting flagged? I agree with this person. Working out isn't always fun or exciting and those days take self discipline. That is a type of growth as well. The same self discipline that keeps me working out when…

Sounds very strange. Maybe you have a diet issue of not getting s proper diet? Are you hitting some intense pre workout stimulants? I can do a 5 hour brick and not feel shaky. Tired and wore out, but no shakes. None of my workout partners have the shakes either. Something isn't right with that picture I would see your…

It is easier for me to break up the month into diet weeks and muscle weeks Eat at a deficit for a week then break even the muscle build week. Your body will source fat for some calories. I always made sure I had enough protein I did for almost two years. It was less boring than just straight constant diet Opinions vary on…

That is a hilarious photo shopped pic So if working photo shop is a fitness goal, then yes.

You may want to look at diets for reversing type II Eliminating added sugar is a good start There are some schools of thought geared to reducing starchy carbs, eliminating sugar rich carbs, and replacing with fibrous veggie carbs. Add and increase exercise My doctor did that I reversed my type II and have been normal on BG…

Weights will be your friend. The shape of your torso and hip structure is what you got. Firming up things and adding some desired shape with added muscle is within your control. It may take a little time so be patient.

You need to favor rest and recover as part of the entire "Exercise Experience" It is normal to need rest and recovery I have been training a long time. I still need the recovery time with no cheating on it It catches up to you in either stress injury or fatigue. Do take a balanced approach. Exercise, eat right, rest. There…

I bought two when I hit up GNC. I love Quest bars... But I hate those. Terrible Gimme the chocolate chip cookie dough or chunk Honey bun is good too Pumpkin is nasty
-
It is simple Not always easy But if you are consistent in your deficit keeping and activity level, you will succeed.

I found myself in a lower carb range by eliminating what I call junk food. Doughnuts, Little Debbie cakes, etc. I ate more veggies to feel more full It worked great in reducing calories for CICO goals. I lost weight consistently. It just happened to be lower carb, by happy accident. Low carb is not magic

I ran 4 miles on one last night It was cold and rainy and dark Not feeling it outside It is a good tool

This will be a long rambling reply with lots of personal observations and my experience only. It is opinion. Maybe some will be helpful. I hope so! It is deep in the off season for most of us. Right now and for a few more month I would build you base with lower intensity 75% HRM type workouts and some similar exertion…

Yep 30 miles on the bike this morning 4 mile run after work

A scale or tape measure will tell you numbers But really, how you feel about how you look is gonna be the determining factor I'm good per a number goal but not to how I want to look. So at the end of the day... It really does not matter much what your number is unless you are trying to need a medical goal.
-
You may have a broke scale If you have consistently lost inches for months....

That is cool they have clip in shoes for a spin class That is not popular here Does the instructor advise you on correct seat height on the first time so you will be able to set your seat correctly from then on? Seems like if you are going to clip in, that would be done as well Good luck!!

We as past fat people have a track record of failing when it comes to managing food. People will offer help. After all, it was the previous norm for us to fail at managing food. Just because we have gotten a handle on managing food does not get us a ticker tape parade. It does not erase our past So yeah, people may offer…

My goal is to not quit It is a lifelong plan. I am reshaping my body now. A little fat away here and add a little muscle there. Add endurance or strength. There are no dates set. Life happens and quite often changes my plans. I do my best and feel good with the results.

You can google max heart rate calculator From an article in Runners World Maximum heart rate for age is an elusive number. The usual equation is 220 – age = maximum heart rate (MHR), but that does not play out well when you look at individuals as many can tolerate higher heart rates and others cannot attain the formula…

Regular long duration cardio I am assuming you don't consider following the calorie amount listed by MFP using a food scale as a good add on habit That is a core part of just following the plan.
-
Use MFP calories at first and weigh your food. Track everything! Even cooking oil. If it is too high slowly adjust down a little

^^^ This is so true OP It is a marathon journey I'm in year two. The changes are no longer dramatic. It is about small improvements and ingrainig the lifestyle. But when you make those changes as mentioned above in the grocery cart. When you build that strength by exercise When you have a new closet of smaller clothes on…

You can change your lifestyle and relationship with food. The latter is critical. And the whole self worth tired to body fat is another pit to climb out of, or be helped out of if need be. I am almost half my max weight. It isn't genetics, it is diet and exercise and just being stubborn. I hope you can focus on being the…
