Maybe you're eating it too often, or are having too large of a portion. These cases have made me feel sick after eating oatmeal. Also, I find that I feel less nauseous after any meal if I eat at a slower pace. If you're running late and need to eat breakfast quickly, eat something else.

Seltzers are a good alternative, there are a variety of flavors available. Also, I drink a lot of black coffee. It takes a little getting used to, but at this point I prefer my coffee black as opposed to with cream and sugar.
