  • Do your clothes feel the same? Are you taking your measurements (bust, waist, hips, biceps, thighs) and progress pictures? The scales don't always tell the full story.
  • ashleymcn01, some good advice from mph323! My story is not a success story, but hopefully it helps you in some way. I have seropositive RA with the first symptoms starting in 2016 but RA not actually diagnosed until 2018. Upon diagnosis, I was put on Methotrexate & Hydroxychloroquine (Plaquenil). My disease activity got…
  • What about smoothies? whizz up some fruit and a few handfuls of green leaves, add some protein powder to it - should mean you're getting some nutrients to keep you going, and break the boredom. Good luck with the healing!
  • I used to be a sugar addict. When I started my journey to become healthier, I replaced the sugar with sweetener, then started to wean myself off of that too. Your taste buds change quite quickly and if you remove a little bit at a time, you might have greater success than going cold turkey. The other thing that helped was…
  • Sound advice! It all starts in your head, the excuses we make, and not having a clear goal that will be bigger than the stories we tell ourselves. You don't have to lose weight - that's good. But are you healthy? You clearly realise exercise is good for something, otherwise you wouldn't be asking for help. To you exercise…
  • Try http://yogawithadriene.com/?s=30+days+of+yoga. Adrienne is like your best friend who teaches you Yoga - I love her videos. I'd agree with the comments above, you have to be very careful using kettlebells so best that you try a couple of classes or get a personal trainer to teach you the proper technique before you get…
  • I signed up to TEG in June this year after trying the Body Coach (which didn't work for me) and I'm still loving it and raving about it to anyone who'd listen  They changed their proposition and they are now the Trinity Transformations Academy, a 1 year programme designed to teach you everything you need so that you…
  • I have a scale at home and another one at work. Colleagues may think I'm weird but I'm losing fat and feel great - who cares what they think?
  • I agree with what kommodeveran, and I'd add that most importantly, you need to ask yourself WHY you want to do it. Find your WHY - that's your highest motivation which will drive the HOW and WHAT. If the WHY is not strong enough, then reconsider your goal.

  • Well done, I start every day with a green smoothie, it helps me make healthy choices throughout the day. My usual smoothie has: banana, kiwi, spinach/kale, chia seeds, flax seeds, spirulina and a bit of vanilla protein (to mask the spirulina taste!) plus water. It's delicious, I found this combination doesn't taste too…
