  • I agree that it's completely individual and you have to experiment. I've been trying for 20 and failing slightly (21-24 is typical for me). I need to kick it lower though, because my ketone strips reveal I've only got trace ketones.
  • I buy Lilly's coconut chocolate. It's stevia sweetened and coconut is really high in fiber, so it comes out to around 170 calories and 4 net grams of carb per serving, which is 1/2 bar.

  • Bad breath is very normal. It gets worse if you get into deep or moderately deep ketosis :( A metallic taste in your mouth is also a common symptom. Good luck -- thank goodness for sugar-free gum, right?
