So true! Especially heart-breaking when it’s your husband.

Side benefit of weighing myself regularly during pregnancy, which I never did for either of my previous pregnancies: when the scale jumps 2 pounds in a day or two, I know it’s time for Colace.

I’m going to try to start doing this tonight! Maybe I can get my toddler and husband to join me when it isn’t too dark out. For the last week I’ve been waking up in the middle of the night between 1-3am with heartburn! I keep TUMS by my bed and one takes care of it, but it’s really annoying! Maybe the walking will help…

This one wasn’t so much unwelcome as odd, but I thought I’d share anyways. I was called “handsome” yesterday. By another woman. And then she said congratulations, so I’m quite certain she was talking about my belly. Meh?

Does the walking help?? How long/far do you walk for it to make a difference? It’s getting dark pretty early here, but I could get on the treadmill if it will help!

Um, I love your username!

So I had a really emotionally tough morning on Monday and I really debated just going back to bed. But I have established a routine of dropping off my son, going to ththe gym, and then getting groceries on Mondays. I was already dressed for the gym, my grocery list was written, so I told myself I would just go and do 20…

Way to go! Asking for help is crazy hard (I know) but it’s an amazing way to love and take care of yourself. And better to address it early than let it become a much bigger mental, emotional, and physical challenge. ❤️ Take care of yourself and hold on to that really amazing friend!

How’s everyone doing? Heartburn is becoming more of an issue for me these days, so I’m needing to eat smaller, more frequent meals. I need to start calling them meals and not snacks so that I make healthier choices

http://www.brasizecalculator.tk This website has helped me find a more accurate suggested size, which then helped me find a better fitting bra. It recommends U.K. sizing which seems to be finer tuned, if that makes sense. I've had good success ordering from Bare Necessities online, which carries several U.K. sized lines of…

Just had my anatomy scan and everything looks good! Baby is measuring at the 46th percentile and has "all the parts we need!" I could have watched that screen all day.

We are WAY cheaper! And someone here has probably dealt with this the same way you have. I understand needing to know the why behind behavior. It's why I studied psychology in undergrad. Keep digging, keep talking to someone who you trust and you'll get there.

I'll toss in here to consider tracking your temperature first thing in the morning. It helped me realize that while my cycles were regular, it turns out that I ovulate much later than my apps were predicting. My husband travels for work, so just waiting for it to happen on its own was too frustrating the first two times…

@SheilAnneSmith I totally get the nerves! I waited until we heard the heartbeat again at 18 weeks before we told anyone. Tell anyone whose support you would want if something went wrong. Sending lots of positive vibes hoping the worry is for nothing! And I agree with everyone else that google is not your friend, but I'm…

@Kirstie155 I'm 19 weeks along--halfway there since I will be delivered at 38 weeks! I think I'm looking forward to losing the weight, even! I miss seeing those numbers go down. @Alioth I hope to "participate" in a 10K...it will likely be a walk/run situation. If I make it, I will definitely share a picture!
-
Congratulations @SheilAnneSmith! So this is my third pregnancy and this is the first time that I am already thinking about losing the weight afterward. Like, I have a 10K I want to do 3 months after my due date, I'm still reading weight loss success stories here and on Pinterest... compared to previous pregnancies where I…

My waist is growing…

I'm not low-carb, but feel free to add me! I log 90% of the time (weekends have been harder lately for some reason) and try to eat healthy. I haven't had my glucose test yet (16 weeks along) but didn't have gestational diabetes with my first two pregnancies, so not anticipating it this time around.

Despite having a cold and feeling like a giant baby about it, I hauled my tush outside and went for a 35 minute walk!

I have always struggled with what the formula said I should be, and no wonder! VS would tell me I'm a 36C and I'm actually a 34G! I didn't find this out (and my girls suffered for it) until someone shared this website with me: http://www.brasizecalculator.tk This free calculator uses 5 measurements instead of 2 and gives…

You inspired me to do the same! Well, I didn't try everything on, but anything that I wasn't sure about. I'm in a different situation, as I'm pregnant and therefore growing out of clothes instead of shrinking out of them. But the too-small clothes are boxed up to be opened as a future NSV post-pregnancy! And my closet is…

@artgalchitown As far as protein goes, I'm pescatarian so I'm accustomed to finding non-meat protein sources! Fish and seafood (within moderation and avoiding mercury), tempeh, eggs, nuts (within reason), lentils, quinoa, peas, and yogurt come to the top of my mind. I'm not a huge fan of tofu, but there's that, too. Good…

@phreekles I do have stress, but unfortunately the cause of my stress is pregnancy related, so it won't be going away any time soon! I do get up and pee each time, but I don't feel like I HAVE to go. Maybe I'll try drinking more water earlier and tapering off before bed. @mrswheels8 I'm so sorry you know my suffering :(…

Anyone else having trouble with sleep? I wake up pretty much every night between 1-3am and just can't fall back asleep. When going to bed initially I fall asleep quickly, but the middle of the night is completely different.

So I finally got around to asking my doctor how much weight I should gain at my 14 week appointment, and I was shocked when he said 35 pounds! I asked if it should be less since my BMI put me at overweight before I was pregnant. So he compromised to 33 pounds!? He advised that I just eat until I am satisfied and try to eat…

We are spending a very long weekend with the in-laws, and so far I'm still tracking my food! It's hard being outside of my comfort zone and still trying to eat healthy food, but I'm doing ok and mostly resisting the chocolate chip cookies.

Woman doing intake at the eye doctor's office reviewing my medical form I filled out, noting that I am pregnant and had a c-section in December, "Did you intend to have them so close together?" "The c-section was for my stillborn son." "Oh, I'm so sorry! We just have to ask these questions..." Really? Whether I…

Even initially eating at maintenance felt like such a treat! I was like a kid at Christmas not having to worry so much and being able to eat back exercise calories... I'm trying to stick with just eating more healthy food, but some treats sneak in once in awhile and it just feels so different! I'm adding my second…

Anyone else blown away by how many calories we have to eat in second trimester? I just finished lunch and I've already consumed as many calories as I used to eat in a whole day and I still need to eat 1,000 more! And I need to finish mowing the lawn, which will be more exercise calories to eat back. It's kind of fun to be…
