Apparently Thursday is my version of "Meeting Monday" because that is all that is happening today. What a waste of time! But at least I get a breather to come say high to the coolest, hippest, youngest middle-agers on the boards!

@nathalieprudencio - Woohoo Utahn here!

Just keep in mind that with most weight loss programs, you will initially lose a lot up front due to water weight and a general lack of food in your stomach. So don't let it get you down when the numbers don't drop as quick as they did up front! I enjoy IF myself, even without doing keto or anything else like that. It is…

The vast majority of weight loss comes from your diet, not exercise. While you CAN try to add exercise to burn extra calories, it is not something you can easily do for the long term. Focus on trying to control what you eat, tracking what you eat, changing what you eat. And don't beat yourself up on days when you go over.…

Wishing you the best and congratulations on the 82 you have already lost!

Great job on the 2 pound loss

Congratulations! That is a great loss :)

Honestly, I am not sure exactly what "clicked" inside my head this time. I used to think "Oh, I am dieting so I can't eat that." or "I want to be healthy and if I eat that, it is a bad thing." In these situations, I would end up failing. But now, I just think "I need a certain amount of calories to fuel my body. I can…

It is tough to recommend or not recommend something as everyone is different. Calories in vs. calories out (CICO) is the way you gain or lose weight, so if you believe that the no white, nothing after 5, calorie counting and unlimited veggies/fruit will work... then good on you! But you have to remember that veggies and…

Despite some of the more blunt statements... it is basically true. I have tried to lose weight many times - and while successful - nothing stuck. This time I have actually changed my entire attitude towards food. I look at it as fuel instead of something that tastes delicious... so instead of a treat or reward or…

Best of luck to you! Put your mind to it and you can do anything you want!

Best of luck to you! Hopefully you can keep up the motivation, just don't let it get you down when life happens. Just keep moving forward.

Hello and welcome back!! I am a little different... I started closer to the 400 mark than the 300 mark :grimace: and I am still well on my way, but now closer to the 300 than the 400. Motivation comes from within. As much as your significant other, your kids, your friends, people on MFP can motivate you... the vast…

As almost everyone said... pre-log for the day or log as I am eating :)

I've done keto and enjoyed it for a while, but it became tough to stick with. Hopefully your experience is different. Best of luck to you!

Hello and welcome!

Wishing you the best! Just some tips to get you going: - Get a food scale - Weigh everything... EVERYTHING - Don't get discouraged when things don't happen quickly - Don't give up if you maintain or even gain, fluctuations happen - If you do continue to maintain or gain after a few weeks, seriously check your calories and…

Hello people! Still in my 30s and still here

Day one leads to day two leads to day 365 and beyond. Welcome and wishing you the best!

Hello and welcome, wishing you the best!

Calories in vs. calories out (CICO) is king and the only way you lose weight. It doesn't matter if you do keto, intermittent fasting, low carb, low fat, etc. It is mainly about the calories. So find something that you enjoy doing that you can stick with and keep at it. Workouts all depend on what you enjoy doing. I could…
