I used to pre-plan what I ate and it helped me a lot. Now I add as I go. So it depends on if you struggle meeting your calorie goal or not. Try planning your day out the night before or the morning of and stick to it.

Welcome back and wishing you the best!

It is as good as you make it... it can be totally worthless or the best thing for you. You just have to use it as intended and stick with it. Consistency is king!

I have done C25K in the past and it is a great program. This time around I just started doing what I call music interval running. I would plug in headphones and walk for the first song, then run the next, alternating back and forth. Once I got comfortable, I would walk the first song, and run for two. Now I am running 3…

BMI charts are useful but antiquated. They work for most people but everyone is different. I did a Bod Pod a few weeks ago and have 199 pounds of lean mass, yet my "healthy" weight range is from 145-190 pounds... yyyyeah. Basically, take your BMI and shoot for that goal. Keep in mind that the more muscle you put on, the…

Welcome Shinay! I can't speak to #1 but I agree with #2 and partially with #3. I like to be as lazy as possible when it comes to food (I won't tell you what ingredients I stuck in the blender yesterday...) and I prefer working out at 4AM a million times over working out at 4PM... although lately I do both.

I love MFP. It is - in reality - 100% up to you because it is all about you being honest with what you eat and the exercise you do. But it is the best way to do it for the long haul. Welcome and enjoy!!

Like @dangerousdashie said, you can't judge it after 1 week. Also, keto is really nothing more than a way to be at a calorie deficit. If you are eating 2000 calories on keto when you should only eat 1500, you will gain. Make sure you are tracking accurately and give it more time. As far as what to follow, I shoot for 25 or…

No. I FEEL that my body is changing, things are happening, I am gaining muscle and endurance, strength and power... but then I look in the mirror and see the same fat guy I've seen for years. Tough to smile at that. But it's changing, right? And yes, I also am afflicted with RBF.

April 16th 2018 I was 370.4 pounds. This past Monday I was 305 pounds. So 65.4 pounds in just over 4 months. I still eat what I enjoy I just track it and move more. I eat anywhere from 2500-3300 calories on a daily basis while I lose and have a "cheat day" on Saturday. As has already been mentioned, sometimes faster is not…
