Are you sure you’re in a deficit? You can gain weight, as I have, being on keto if you’re not in a deficit. Also a week isn’t really long enough to tell.

I just started Keto this week too. I haven’t weighed myself yet. I don’t feel any skinner. How are you tracking macros? Or calories? I have gotten different results on different Keto macro calculators and don’t know what I should follow myself

Like @dangerousdashie said, you can't judge it after 1 week. Also, keto is really nothing more than a way to be at a calorie deficit. If you are eating 2000 calories on keto when you should only eat 1500, you will gain. Make sure you are tracking accurately and give it more time.

As far as what to follow, I shoot for 25 or less when I was doing keto. But yo should adjust based on what is happening. Sometimes you have to do it for a while and see what happens to your body (a while means weeks, not days) and adjust.

Thanks for this. I needed the laugh.

You really expect to feel skinnier during the first week of a weight loss regimen? This diet doctor prescribes at least one full dose of reality.

Did you get the strips to measure the level of ketones? That is when the weight loss will start (or so I have read). I am also just starting out.

Post question, I have read alot on mct oil is that a staple with this diet?

I’ve been doing keto for about 6 weeks now and I’m down 28lbs . You need to count calories and stay in your macros also be active . A lot of people eat as much as they want and don’t exercise but that’s lazy keto. You need to take on keto as a lifestyle change not a diet trust me it’s worth it.
