Best of luck to you! Creating lasting habits instead of "dieting" is the best way to go about it.

Down nearly 50 pounds after really changing my mindset and getting motivated. Come join in on the loss and gain a friend!

I started with 120 pounds to lose and I am now 85 pounds away from my first goal. Stick with it and don't get disappointed when things don't seem to work out. Perseverance is more important than people believe.

Do I actually have to go through the effort of adding people myself!? I thought commenting here meant people would just add me

Best of luck to you. That is the biggest thing for me. Anytime I've tried in the past (except once) my mind was not in the right place. That is why diets alone just don't work. You have to truly have the mindset to stick with someone. Hopefully your plan works and if not, don't give up. Instead, find something else that…

Thank you!

As @kommodevaran said, it is all about calories in vs. calories out. Finding what works best for you is only for you. I've done low carb, keto, 5:2, up/down days, IF and countless other versions. But in the end, it is me eating fewer calories than I burn. Find whatever works for you that doesn't feel like a punishment and…

Love supporting and need support, add meh!

"Congratulations, I am glad you found what works for you." Then continue working. You don't have to feel submissive because she is in a position of authority. Just use some tact and let her know you're happy for her but happy with yourself as well.

Okay, I apologize for the "best practice" statement. I know that it works best for me and I know many who do the same. It is easier for me to start from 0 and move up rather than get those extra calories from setting it to active and maybe/maybe not making it to that level. Personal preference, then :)

Welcome, I have tried Keto but in all reality, it is about what you can stick with for Calories In/Calories Out (CICO). Keto is just a version of that. I could stick with it for a month or 3 but then would find that nothing I ate would satiate my appetite. If it works for you, great. But it is best to stick with someone…

Honestly, I have done this diet roller coaster dozens of times and I found that you really have to change your mindset about food. There is something "different" this time for me. I am eating foods I want to eat, still enjoying pizza and burgers and whatever I want, but I am viewing food as fuel, not as a reward or a treat…

It is generally best practice to put your MFP activity to sedentary and let your watch add up how active you are. I am not positive, but I think the same thing happens even if you are set to lightly active or active, you just get fewer calories from your watch (due to having extra calories due to your active setting).…

I agree with those saying "build up to it". I usually start going 3 days per week with a rest day in between. Then I slowly moved up to 4, 5, then 6. It is tough to do sometimes especially on the weekends. But you do need to make sure you are giving your body time to rest. 6 days may make you think that you are going to…

I literally can't do any, never have :( I've been a minimun of 215 pounds since 6th grade (and am way more than that now) so it's always been tough. Hopefully I can pull off a few in the future and brag about it!

It's crazy to me how people take the "16 chips" or "22 pieces" as gospel when it comes to counting what they ate. I have dark chocolate chips from Ghirardelli and it says something like "16" chips is a serving. But next to that, it says (15g). There is NO WAY that 16 chips weigh 15 grams. More like 5 chips. So if you are…

As nvmomketo said, there is an adjustment period for Keto commonly known as the "Keto flu" that you may be experiencing. Normally it only lasts for a week or two. If you go beyond that and still feel it, you may be doing something wrong (such as not eating enough overall, not getting sodium or not getting proper vitamins…

Get a FitBit or something similar and link it to MFP and see how many calories you actually burn just doing your daily jobs. You may want to look at trying to squeeze in strength training because you might have enough "cardio" from your day-to-day jobs. Obviously, doing extra things like running or hiking build up…

Started over... again... And my most recent NSV is being able to bend over to cut my toenails or tie my shoes. Always my favorite when it happens!

I started at needing to lose 120 pounds for my first goal (I know, big goal, I always go big...) and am sitting close to 90 pounds to go after my first month!
