  • So, I thought doing a challenge would help me get back on tract, and obviously that is not my missing link! One more week, but I will keep looking for that spark I had a couple years ago that I have lost. Good luck to everyone!
  • So I have had an unfair advantage for the challenges of meditation, avoiding junk food and herbal tea - I am on bacation and doing a program at Kripalu yoga center where all these thungs are a normal part of daily life, easily accessable if you choose to participate. The challenge always is continuing the practice when…
  • I missed the weigh in, doing a immersion class this week and schedule in a bit of a flux. Looking forward to a great week though- lots of yoga and fantastic food prepared by someone else- Woohoo!! Catch you Sunday. Have a great week everyone.
  • On the stair challenge, I have been doing "stair laps" sort of like swimming laps. I work on the second floor and the building only has two levels, so I have averaged 13-18 "laps" on a work day. I think this ritual may be one that sticks, I stairclimb on morning break, before and after lunch and get an afternoon lap in…
  • Awesome when you can start seeing changes other than the number on the scale. I find them much more satusfying.
  • So, I didn't walk until I got home and that was after dark so ended up on the treadmill, but did 3.5 miles. Not sure if the photo will upload.
  • Thanks to the challenge the holiday eating was more conscious: portion sizes better controlled, no full-plated seconds, and my weight is up from Monday BUT still 1.3 pounds below my challenge starting weight! I am pleased. A lot of driving today, but going to make a point to walk when I get to my destination AND face the…
  • I allow myself a calorie up day, and that was yesterday, which reflects on my scale weight this morning. However, if I didn't do an up day I would be less likely to stay with it, now I need to focus on the quality of the calories on an up day. Yesterday was all about the carbs after a very busy weekend. Good luck to…
  • So, on the challenge for jumping jacks every 90 minutes, I work in an operating room, so that won't happen for me. So, instead I challenge myself to walk the stairs 5 times today (I work 8 hours/1.5 hours=5.3) between cases whenever that schedule allows.
  • My weigh in shows me that when I stay aware of what I am eating and log my intake, I can make progress.
  • Hi everyone, Just want to say I think the key to doing a challenge like this is being given a behavior to try that you may not normally try on your own, and see if it works for you. One of these gems may be the one new ritual you or I need to keep us moving forward. Have a great weekend.
  • Better day avoiding processed foods today, definitely more conscious of what I'm eating!
  • Evrything I ate today was homemade, however the fact that I am in the midst of baking for concession sales the sugar content was high! I did have egg whites for breakfast and homemade beef barley stew for dinner. I was more aware of the food today then usual, and I did get on the treadmill while doing a homework assignment…
  • Hi Blue Team, I should be called: Jo I am from Massachusetts, Eastern Time Zone My weigh in day is Monday My preferred exercise is weightlifting Favorite healthy food: salad with spring mix greens Struggling areas: where do I begin? Can be summed up to managing time for food prep, just grabbing the quickest thing and not…
  • I thought I was on the Blue Team. I see my name in the data, but not on a team. How do I add my information (name, location, measurements, etc)? Thanks.
  • Just deleted and reinstalled app on iPad, one challenge met!
  • Just looking to join, first time trying to use the community on MFP. Frustrating! App between iPad and iPhone different, community doesn't show on iPad, iPhone too small too read description! Is there any way to still join, just started looking this morning- need an accountability place to restart! Thanks.
