We spar every class. Sometimes we have 15 minutes, others 5 but my instructor thinks it's important for us to do each time. Also, every belt spars with every belt. Higher ranks just try to flow with the lower ranks and we have seen major improvement in their sparring skills because of it. So whatever intensity they come at…

Went to class last night even though air quality is horrible where I currently live do to a wildfire. Definitely wasn't as intense of a workout as we are used to, but I don't think any of us could have handled it after what we were breathing all day.

Hi! I'm Sarah. I practice ITF Taekwondo where I currently hold the rank of brown belt, soon to be testing for black stripe and then belt. I have been practicing martial arts for 5 years, but this style for only 3. I was doing it as just a stress relief until I was called upon to spar against a student testing for his 2nd…

That's me as well. That's is why I chose to start it up as an adult. Before I joined mfp, I played around with my weight and didn't ever get serious. Then I was invited to assist in a 2nd degree black belt test and that was my wake up. I joined here and buckled down on my calories and focused on my training and it melted…

This was my childhood dream too. My mother swears that she would have let me do it if she had known, but I distinctly remember her saying that she wouldn't let me because I would get hurt. 3 years training now and have only broken one finger, and suffered from bruises and the finger was my fault since I caught it on my own…

I really like Toi-gye and choong-moo. Both are very unique and challenging in their own ways.

I have arthritis in my lower back. Doing taekwondo has actually helped mine out with staying active.

I definitely did a low intensity. I was actually told by my Dr to not stop, to just modify and go for as long as I could. I really only did the warm up, basics and forms, but it was enough to keep me healthy and sane.

I have two mom's in my dojang that made the same promise to their kids. One of them will be testing for black belt soon herself, and the other just started. Always great to see families enjoying something together. As for training with the possibility of being pregnant, I actually did train...all the way up to 35 weeks,…

I'll join you ladies. I'm a SAHM with an almost 3 yr old and almost 2 month old. Trying to get fit and set a good example for my girls. I don't want them to be as unhealthy as their dad and I were growing up. Was within 20 lbs of my goal weight before pregnancy but now I have 40 to lose.

I haven't been able to get back to it after day 2 with a demanding toddler and husband. Going to try to do day 3 with my toddler tomorrow so I can keep going without waiting for a nap that may never happen. With the results I had last time, I don't want to give up and not do it.

Same here! Was just released to start exercising again and all my previous friends are inactive after my pregnancy hiatus. Would love the support so feel free to add me!

Hi there! I'm 8 weeks post partum and breast feeding. Just was released to start exercising again and looking for friends to motivate as well. I had success using mfp before pregnancy with friends, but most, if not all are inactive now. Motivation and support really do make all the difference on this app.

I did 30 day shred a year ago and got amazing results. Just had my second kid 2 months ago and starting it back up again and am on day 3. Feel free to add me, the more motivation we can get, the better.

Sw:235 Cw:207 Gw:160 Would love to be 20 lbs lighter by June...getting out of the 200's has been the biggest hurdle for the last 4 years. Then again, I was never as serious about losing as I am now.

I'm not new to MFP but trying to stick with it this time. I have done weight watchers before and was successful and lost 30lbs but now after having a kid, my husband and I have horrible eating habits again. I want to get back on track with the food again now that I've added in exercise at least twice a week for over an…
