Thanks for this, guys - lots of me to think about. The general gist that I'm getting is to go to around 100g and just get on with it - that I have enough time to see how I feel before November. I shall see how it goes! Thanks all!

Brilliant, thanks for that. I'll slowly eat up what I have in the house, lowering my carbs as I go. ~100g was my tentative goal, so I'm glad to hear that it should effective. I'm quite lucky actually - I don't eat a huge amount of carbs anyway, so I suspect that if I just focus on pushing my fat up a bit it should work out…

Hot chocolate, made with milk. That's ~150 kcal right there - and I find a hot milky drink is great at bedtime!

For me personally, if I tried logging every time I licked the spoon or tasted an ingredient when cooking I'd very quickly find myself obsessing and would give up. But I don't nibble otherwise, unless its already planned, and I'm trying to build a framework within which I can eat rather than an exact count. So it works for…

With a fork... I scramble two in a microwave with bacon every morning at work.

I can stop eating more easily with hot things, so I find that a sachet of flavoured latte is remarkably filling for me, and less than 100cal... Not brilliant if you're watching sugar though!

Two eggs scrambled with two slices of bacon, on two slices of wholemeal toast. And a glass of cranberry juice. Yum!
