I had the fitbit hr, but went to a garmin forerunner 630, a definate upgrade

Ive been diagnosed withT2 for some years now. initially it was a shock and was led to believe its diet, progress to tablets, get more tablets then on to insulin. Soon learnt that's poppycock and researched and researched and listened to other diabetics. I started on the low carb diet which is excellent as it generally…

Weybridge way here

I once had a miserable p.e. lesson in school, I came stone last in a small cross country run some 30 years ago and hated running. Fast forward to a couple of years ago some like minded friends and I started walk/jogging. We mapped out a 5k route, stretched and jogged as far as we could (for the 1st few weeks that would be…

Whats corn bread and corn mash?
-
2 days for me, even worse it went flat whilst at work so lost 4-5 hours of steps and calories >:)
-
try them: bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/scones_1285 and they are pictured correctly with the clotted cream on top :p

^^ I think I got as far as Mifflin then it all went a bit of a tangent :D

gosh this thread escalated quickly, i posted at work, got home now there's 6 pages :o So walking down the sidewalk pavement, pondering the soccer football scores and I felt hungry. So tonight I'll have stir fry with eggplant aubergine and zucchini courgette. Time to get a new pair of sneakers trainers too, off down the…

I'd like to lose 4 stone, but I'll settle for 56lb :p

Well, there is lots of information available here: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10300319/most-helpful-posts-general-diet-and-weight-loss-help-must-reads#latest with some very good reading /advice 15lb is, IMO, a very large target to acheive by the end of next month however for some people its possible. I…

Done, seems the best option

aaahh ty  Not that I now have any idea which is best, so I'll leave it alone on the 'if it aint broke' basis

I'm getting a bit old, but I cant find a sedentary setting in fitbit, whereabouts would I find it?
-
maybe, but yesterday fitbit reported I had a 1000+ excess calorie deficit so not entirely confident its working as I expect
-
and i'm in a few challenge groups and charged my HR this morning, leaving it there forgetting it when I went out, losing me half days steps
-
ok, so eating back the calories is not necessary, but you can eat them all back without too much of an issue, but a nice buffer would be to, if your going to eat them, eat half back  = that works for me. Battery life for me is about 2 days so I'm going to revisit settings to see what I don't need on to try and…

45 and about to get back in shape :) looking forward to all you 'oldies' joining in :D seriously nice to see so many others around with the focus to get on with it !

I joined WW a couple of years ago, dead simple: Daily points + Weekly points, eat what you like (encouraged to make healthier choices) = 3stone weight loss. I've put all of it back on (but thats not WW fault  ) Is it a lot more complicated now?
-
I am also an ex ww client and did really well following their programme. I put a lot of weight on when I stopped doing it as I no longer watched what I ate. I'm now 45 and currently weigh 213 and going down again :) You can find loads of information here but I found I needed what works for me as there are so many…

Have you done Insanity? or is this your 1st one? Iask as I was wondering how much the 2 differ
-
pfft you got it easy, my LAST week of insanity ends 26th December  I dont imagine me doing cardio workout xmas day, and hardly doing a lot boxing day with a food/alcahol hangover, so thats going to be 28th December finish now with new Max Recovery Christmas non Workout Pliyo Days!
-
C40%, P40%, F20% to lose weight, only because SeanT says, so I try and keep to that
-
^^ agreed. I had a big drop 1st week, same 2nd, up 3rd and down on the 4th & 5th, on the beachbody website is a video interview of SeanT who explains that this is very common. I like the theory that you body plateaus at about week 3/4 so that's what recovery week is for to confuse it and then up the exercise, stick to your…
-
Not difficult, just hard work and big effort  I don't, I allow a max 2500 per day as per insanity guide, but don't log the exercise on MFP, plus I only hit about 2000 per day Still working on it :)

Max cardio conditioning is officially my favourite Insanity workout !! I think it is the constant variety I found pleasing, apart from the warm up there was not much repetition. I cant believe I'm looking forward to doing that again :D
