Clicked on this and I thought it was about the doctor recommended visits to your local bistro. disappointed.

Of course! Bagel might slow you down at bit (they tend to have a very high GI) but sushi is amazing for weight loss/gain whatever. I know plenty of bodybuilders who eat a bunch of it on a bulk and less on a cut. Again it really just comes down to CICO, and a bagel in the morning will probably get used up throughout the…

Go to a nice steakhouse where they will prepare the steak perfectly. If that doesn't make you want to eat it all the time, I'm at a lose for you.

This is not true. It's something that floated around the internet for a while, but never had any serious evidence to support it. It doesn't matter what your iron levels are. It doesn't matter if you have GERD (I also have GERD incidentally) A craving for eating ice can be a sign of anemia, but if you just enjoy drinking…

Yea, really depends on your scale. Go buy some calipers for $5. When I was cutting for wrestling, I had a scale that kept telling me I was 14%-16% body fat, so I kept cutting (you want a really low body fat at the beginning of the season because the guy measuring always reads high and you can go into lower weight classes).…

Yes! I love these and also buy them at Walmart (which has them sandwiched between the eggs and the butter for god knows why - complete opposite end of the store from where all the other tortillas are)

A closer estimate might be say you burn 50 hour weight training and it happens to be 55 on leg day, 45 on upper body day. You are very much over estimating how many calories are burned during anaerobic exercise. I don't even bother logging weight training calories because they are so low (and yes I work up quite a sweat…

Don't do a 'leg day'. Work some part of your legs every time you hit the gym. The death pain following leg day is caused by infrequent training. Think about it, if you are doing a typical bro split -chest, back, legs, shoulders, arms, all of your upper body muscles are getting hit at least 2x per week, so no one complains…

Free weights. Every time, especially if you are just starting out.

This is what I always tell people. If you don't know how to do an exercise, find the most muscular dude in the gym and ask him how to do it. He will be flattered - no one needs validation more than men who lift weights. Plus, he knows a thing or two, no one who spends that much time in the gym learns nothing. Heck, he'd…

Just from experience: your dumbbells will be find to start with, and you can supplement with body weight exercises when necessary, but eventually, if you want to keep progressing, you will need a well stocked gym. With any program worth its salt, you will graduate from those 15 pounders in no time!

If you are getting DOMS (delayed onset muscle soreness) that's great! The absolute best thing for you to do is hit it hard again the next day. and the next day. and the next day. It will feel better everyday, and eventually your body will adapt and you won't feel sore anymore. This is the fastest way through the start up…

Love it.

Chipotle has the perfect macros, pizza works too in a pinch. Chicken and rice? why do you hate enjoying things bro?
-
Um no. Try smoking or drugs (like real drugs not pot) if you are looking to compare. After you've built up a real addiction, try going without chia seeds for a day or two.
-
This may surprise you, but the calories and macros on food labels aren't exact, they are estimates. If you look at your individual food labels and calculate exactly as you just did, you will find that they don't add up either. But they are pretty close, so just go with it

30% of people are non responders - if that's you don't bother, but there's only one way to find out. If you are part of the 70% - No reason at all not to use it. 5g a day, no cycling, doesn't matter when you take it. Give it a few days to build up in your system (using a 'loading' dose will not speed this up), and enjoy…

Here's a joke: How many fitness enthusiasts does it take to multiply 2 numbers?
-
Unless you are a professional athlete, marathon runner, bodybuilder, ect meal timing is not going to matter at all Just eat what you planned to eat that day and workout somewhere in between.

crossfit? swing and a miss If you want to burn fat, running, swimming, elliptical machines, ect. are your best bet If you want to gain/preserve muscle, following a linear progression or linear periodization model is your best bet If you just want to flail around with a high chance of injury for hour - Crosshit to the…

I know this isn't the point of this - but don't use the Smith machine. It is a 800lbs injury generating machine. I know this is the point of this - Definitely go see your doctor about this. Also focus on stretching (in the morning or at night or whatever, but decidedly not immediately before lifting weights), and check out…

Good for you! It's great that you are feeling better, but please don't swear off the stuff entirely - people who don't drink are weird.

I have a degenerative disc in my back, but it basically just means I can't do certain exercises. Others, like running, I feel like I need to do because if I'm too sedentary, the pain flairs up. Not sure if that helps, I did go to rehab for like 12 weeks after it was first diagnosed, didn't really help much. What really got…

Like has been said before, your body doesn't 'crave' a certain nutrient. Whenever I'm hungry, I always reach for my favorite salad. Of course I then feed that salad to a cow, and send him to the butcher. Steak - everyone's favorite properly processed salad.

Whisky. Tastes great on it's own and you can't get lower calories.

Majoring in the minors* Love that way of saying it

Is eating enough essential amino acids better for you than not eating enough? - yes. Is buying any $40 powder going to give you noticeable gains in the gym? - no. BCAA's (as a supplement) are a scam invented by nutrition companies to make money. If such products had any noticeable effect, the would be behind the pharmacy…

Cereal is sugar and cardboard, doesn't belong in a well thought out diet. If you want it in there, CICO. Also, Great Grains isn't super awful and tastes pretty good
