I would suggest looking into a lifting program you can follow on your own at the gym or with a friend. I would suggest something for beginners even if you feel like you have a handle on weights from classes. It is a different animal when you start to go heavier. Form needs to be right before you move up the weight.

While it is possible you are fully capable of lifting a heavier weight, if you can't do this weight with good form, then it is a weight issue. Not a lost cause, just try it and see what happens. If you are eating at a deficit, you may drop some fat which would show more definition in your arms (provided there is some muscle there to begin with).
