@amlundie I am not worrying about Thanksgiving too much either since I am doing the cooking! I can control what sides I make and also how much I choose to put in my mouth!! If I decide to indulge I will log it and move on. Life is meant to be enjoyed. I think the main thing is to get back on track as soon as possible. I…

@mmccloy12 I really find myself stumbling on some days more than others. Life always seems to find a way to throw us curveballs just when things seem to be on track. Juggling home and family, work It's so easy to forget to make ourselves a priority. I am guilty of putting everyone and everything in front of my own needs,…

Hello! I am 44 and I am always looking for new friends. It is nice to share our journeys and help support each other along the way! Please feel free to add me!!
-
I started my journey here on MFP back in March of this year but didn't start logging seriously until the end of March. I have a long road ahead of me but am proud of how far I have come so far! Always looking for new friends. Let's support and inspire each other!

@shorepine I love that your 7 year old is up to running with you! How sweet! I also am more of a night person. Getting up earlier to exercise after not getting a good night or full night of sleep just doesn't happen for me. I work on my feet all day and usually 10 hour shifts so when I do get home I usually have to force…

@aliciap0116 Way to go on getting back to the gym! That is awesome! Getting the exercise in seems to be my biggest challenge. I feel like most days I have my eating in control but I know as I continue on this journey I have to get moving. I set small goals because when I look at how much I want to lose its overwhelming. I…

@Stacivogue Trying is the key of success! It sounds like you are in a nice place to get some outdoor activity in! Even a little is better than none at all. Each day I have to make myself do a little more, move more. Hoping I will get to a point where it's a habit and I dont have to make myself do it. I am a little scale…

@Raptor_Romantic I definitely find I have to log every day and every meal. Being consistent is for me means accountability. I feel like even if I cant or dont feel up to exercising on a particular day I can at the very least be in control of what I put in my mouth! 😁 Log the good and the bad. Slow weight loss is healthy…

@gruiz21 Welcome! You have come to a wonderful group here! Everyone is so kind and supportive of one another! I look forward to reading everyone's post to keep me going especially on the hard days! It's a great idea to focus on small goals as looking at the long picture can be discouraging. SW stands for starting weight.…

I was tossing and turning in bed and not getting comfortable. I couldn't figure out why. Then I thought my knees are hitting each other when I lay on my side. Who knew bone on bone was so uncomfortable. Lol!! Trust me when I say I have plenty of cushion in other places. Funny how we lose in some places and dont notice…

I have 2 small goals right now. 1st one is to get out of the 220s. Currently sitting at 224. So this one could happen by the end of November!! My next small goal is a little bigger. I would love to hit 30% weight loss by the end of the year. Which means I would weigh in at 201.6. And a loss of 86lbs. I have lost 63 lbs…

Logging 200 days here on MFP! It may seem small but for me being consistent means accountability. I need this! Also I had a friend whom I hadn't seen for a while hug me and say " You're getting so skinny!" I have a long ways to go and skinny isn't my goal but it was still nice to hear!! 😊

@mmccloy12 I can totally relate to this! It is so hard to not partake in social situations without eating all there is to offer. A little bite of this and little of that. Before I know it I feel disgusted with myself and that also leads to bad food choices. I am slowly learning to eat before I go. Drink some extra water or…

@bluffgirl67 I am glad they ruled out anything major! Wtg on logging while at the Golden Corral. We did that a couple weeks ago and I made sure to fill my plate with their lovely veggies and then chose my meat. Told myself if I was still hungry I would get a small carb selection. ( Mashed potatoes or Mac and cheese) But I…

On Saturday my family went to the zoo. When we left the house it was warm and sunny. When we got to the zoo, which is over 2 hours from our house. It was breezy and a little chilly. My husband suggested we go into their gift shop to look for hoodies. My daughter who is almost 25 and fit found one immediately. I didn't…
