I've seen from various sources that breastfeeding burns an additional 200-500 calories daily. I add 250 calories for breastfeeding to my MFP default of 1540 calories. My 8 month old eats 2-3 solids meals a day. I also eat most of my exercise calories as well.

That's fantastic - congrats! Your story is inspiring. I still have a long way to go and it helps to see someone who is successful by plugging away at it.

I am breastfeeding an almost 8 month old. I didn't try to lose weight until she was 7 months old and taking solids regularly. I have 75 lbs+ to lose. Feel free to add me.

We have similar goals. I was 260 lbs at my highest in 2010. I am currently 216 lbs and I've been using MFP consistently for 3 weeks. I am aiming for 150 lbs or lower. Feel free to add me.

I have mine set at sedentary as well. I find that until I reach about 1700 steps for the day, it puts me calorie adjustment into negative. For a 40 minute walk, I am surprised it gave you such a small calorie bump though.

I am new to MFP. I am currently 216 lbs and want to get below 150 lbs. I have been heavy all of my adult life. Now that I have a 7 month old daughter, I want to set an example for her with healthy eating and a healthy body. Please feel free to add me.
